Game Thread That Team Up North @ Ohio State - 11/24/18, The '62' Game, Revenge Revoked

Some day after takes

1) As I pointed out earlier in this thread Urban Meyer is 23-4, now 24-4 in rivalry games for his career. Jim Harbaugh is now 3-10. (he was only 2-2 at Stanford) If you want to beat Michigan, you are hoping Urban coaches at OSU as long as he can.

2) The crowd brought their A+ game. OSU may have won without them, but don't think the beat down happens without the crowd.

3) Once an entitled prick, always an entitled prick. (And Winovich baiting the OSU bench when down 34-19 is only 1 example) Jax had it right, the "Michigan Man" entitlement created by Bo is toxic.

4) Harbaugh's recruiting has left them without the quality depth. When Bush went out (and with Gary and Winovich hurting), the Michigan went from ineffective to awful.

5) We now now why the coaches stay with Malik Harrison even when he struggled. I hope yesterday is an indication that the game is slowing down for him. Any defense is much better when they can get that type of play from one of their LB's.

6) That said it was amazing that Michigan did not at least try to add something on offense that was different then what they showed all season. Probably the Michigan arrogance again.

What a great day to be a Buckeye.

I need to add one more.

8) Driving the field with 41 seconds at the end of the 1st half for a field goal (and almost a TD) was huge. Took the momentum away from Michigan and showed that the Buckeyes could move the ball at will.

Yep. Literally the only time I can recall even seeing Winovich directly involved in a play and having his name called was when he crashed from the edge and ran down Weber for a one yard loss. Other than that he was indeed for all intents and purposes invisible.

And Gary who?

Like I said earlier. Slow and soft.

Hard telling if Winovich was hampered by the rib thing, but it looked like we just flat out won the trenches in every way.

Just took a wonderful, Sunday morning stroll through mgoblog. SimpLLLLe Jim still has his defenders, but they've certainly reached the circle the wagons stage. On the other hand, more than a few seem to be hoping Harbaugh bolts for the NFL.

This was easily the most satisfying win over them since we turned the tables in the rivalry post-Cooper. To have them come in favored and headed towards a playoff spot and then not only get beat but get beaten down is beyond enjoyable. There is something about rooting for Michigan up to the game just so we can crush their souls because there's no way this feels quite as good had they rolled in here with 3 or 4 losses.

I rewatched the game and Whineybitch made one other decent stop and was actually mentioned, and Gary made a couple plays before getting hurt, but neither were anywhere near being a major factor, let alone "dominant"...

If we score a TD instead of a FG there, and the same for the second drive of the second half, we hang 70 on them. Still surreal that we put up 38 points in the second half...
