Game Thread That Team Up North @ Ohio State - 11/24/18, The '62' Game, Revenge Revoked

So, next stop on revenge tour some Florida Bowl game against South Carolina?
Yeah, let's see THAT again!
Just took a wonderful, Sunday morning stroll through mgoblog. SimpLLLLe Jim still has his defenders, but they've certainly reached the circle the wagons stage. On the other hand, more than a few seem to be hoping Harbaugh bolts for the NFL.

This was easily the most satisfying win over them since we turned the tables in the rivalry post-Cooper. To have them come in favored and headed towards a playoff spot and then not only get beat but get beaten down is beyond enjoyable. There is something about rooting for Michigan up to the game just so we can crush their souls because there's no way this feels quite as good had they rolled in here with 3 or 4 losses.
Had to laugh because last nite, it wouldn't even let me log in over there. Kept saying "system error"
Wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that the word "Bucks" is part of my username? :slappy:
Let me log in just fine this morning!

You know, this likely was Jimmah's biggest chance to beat Urban...and he crashed and burned epically. Our current seven-game win streak in The Rivalry is now tied with Tressel's seven-gamer from 2004-2010 for our longest win streak, and I don't see those clowns up north having a better chance to win over the next 2-3 years at least than they did coming into yesterday's game.

We need 8 more to take the all-time series lead, and then these miserable fucks can't even point to their leather helmet glories.

Ah yes. My favorite day of the year, the morning after OSU's soul crushing curb stomping of the wolverines. Pour a cup of coffee, read and listen to the incessant misery of their fans on line and on radio. And later I go to the store (any store) so I can personally see the misery on their faces.

BTW, it's also my wedding anniversary today. That happens every year too.

I’ve thought the same. Next year could be interesting in terms of who comes back for either team and the game being in AA.

But yeah, this was the first year in a long time that I thought they had a very good chance at it. I’ve said before that I thought they were beatable... but there is no denying that they were playing solid ball coming in. And it’s no secret that our boys have had some struggles putting it all together.

In no way did I expect to see them put 62 on the board against the #4 team in the country... the #1 defense in the country... and in a rivalry game. That kind of domination didn’t happen against RichRod’s 3-4 piss poor defenses.

Oh, don't you dare worry now, they'll come up with some excuse, like we're too obsessed with The Game (I've already seen that on MGoBlow before they banned me).

That's always been their tired bullshit: "we like football, but we're not obsessed with it because we have so much else going on." Like what? Rereading the rejection letters from the eleven private universities that Shaq'd you?

If the DFBIA wants to keep claiming that Jim Harbaugh is the answer, they're going to have to rephrase the question.

It's going to be interesting to see how SimpLLLLe Jim responds because this is the kind of soul crushing loss that can put a program into a death spiral. I have serious doubts whether jimmy has what it takes to change his approach, jettison some coaches and start recruiting better or whether he'll just hit the eject button for whatever NFL owner is stupid enough to take on his circus.

Remember back when Michigan was absolute shit under Rich Rod for a couple years and some members here were clamoring for them to get better so The Game would mean more? Fuck that, I'm fine with the program going off a fucking cliff. If those bastards went 3-9 next year I'd have to buy a dozen pair of jizz-proof underwear (now waits for the first dickhead to say "Well, you wear Depends already").
