Yep. Literally the only time I can recall even seeing Winovich directly involved in a play and having his name called was when he crashed from the edge and ran down Weber for a one yard loss. Other than that he was indeed for all intents and purposes invisible.

Also what makes this better in ESPN and such running all the fluff stories on the Wolverines this year leading up to the game especially the Don Brown greatest D mind in football puff piece.

Don't want to totally disregard what they do, but sometimes it's hard to take them seriously. Hornibrook is a perfect example. Not hard to tell he's a mediocre QB, but still graded out at 92% after 6 or 7 games. I have no idea why.

Maybe teaching high school kids to play the game for an hour 125 years ago, then beating the shit out of them, counting it as a win, and crowning yourselves as God's gift to football, despite the fact that you haven't been truly relevant since the Ottoman Empire was still a thing has some karmic repercussions, you arrogant piece of shit
