Game Thread That Team Up North @ Ohio State - 11/24/18, The '62' Game, Revenge Revoked

Mississippi Jesus is well over due for a multiple turnover stinker.

The problem is, can we stop the run enough to force them to throw more than theyd like? And even then would our secondary be able to take advantage if given the opportunity. Prayer jump balls seemingly always land in the WRs hands against this team.

Ohio State's 2001 and 2004 teams were probably worse than this team is. They were each 6-4, so that's a good sign that they're both worse. I didn't have much hope for those games, and I don't have much hope this year. Let's at least play the game before we lament on what we think we should have (but don't).

I think what feels different about this year is that Michigan had us on the ropes the last two years and we pulled through because they had shitty QB play (remember Speight’s picks in 2016). They have good QB play now, the same defense, and we have regressed both on the offensive line and defensively, dramatically.

That being said, it’s a rivalry game. Crazy things can happen.

My wife had bought me tickets to that game as a late birthday present since I was in Iraq that year. Literally couldn't have asked for a better experience. That will probably be the only Ohio State-scUM game I ever go to in my life unless one of my kids gets really good at either band or football.

Not going to lie, that would surprise the hell out of me. I think, more likely, the magic number is 30.

OSU offense must get north of that.
OSU defense, as it were, must do whatever it can to keep them south of it.

I’m sticking with the magic number being 42, if our defense can play bend but don’t break I think there’s a decent chance. Chrisman will be a big factor in flipping the field like he did at Sparty. Also depends if we can get any run game on 3rd and short and first down to give us shorter yards to go for 2nd and 3rd. I expect Haskins to play well if the receivers can make the catches and not have drops. IF we win I’m going with 42-33. It could very well be a blowout if we lose or something like 23-13. Just not sure what Ohio state team will show up Saturday.

MIKE WEBER AND BARON BROWNING CLEARED TO PLAY AGAINST MICHIGAN, THAYER MUNFORD PROBABLE

Ohio State will get some banged-up players back this week as Mike Weber and Baron Browning have been cleared to return against Michigan this week and Thayer Munford is probable, Urban Meyer announced on Monday.

Weber missed Saturday's game against Maryland with a thigh contusion while Browning missed his second-straight game with an undisclosed injury. Munford left the game in the first half of the game with an apparent leg injury.

Meyer also said Branden Bowen is available if he's needed, and was cleared to play against Maryland this week.

Throwback Asshat of the Day: Tate Forcier, QB

Years: 2009-2010

Record against OSU: 0-2

Lowlights: it’s hard to overstate the sucktitude of Big Swole. If anyone best represents Michigan in this game since Tressel came aboard in 2001, it’s him. Some QBs have given OSU a good run, even in defeat, but Big Swole and his massive hype machine were way too small for the moment. He had thrown only 6 INTs in 2009 heading into the game, where he promptly tossed 4 to the Silver Bullets while racking up a staggering 10 yards on 6 carries. He was a complete flop in 2010, going 8/15 for 82 yards and a pick on the way out the door. For a guy who was supposed to BARWIS!!1!1! His way to the front of this rivalry, he ended up being a colossal plate of armadillo flop.

You inspired me to turn the 2009 game on in the background while I work from home today. Typical Michigan bull shit in the pregame. Brandon Graham running his mouth about how it's about to get real up in here. I wonder if it'll go any better than it has the last 10 or so times I've watched this game. I'll keep people updated.

edit 1 - aww man. Tater Tot's hands haven't gotten any bigger. He just fumbled in his endzone. Cam Heyward pounced on it for the TD. 7-0 good guys.

edit 2 - Detard is in. Still doesn't know how to tie his shoes or throw a pass.

edit 3 - Whoops. Missed M field goal. Maybe Graham or Mike "Curly headed fuck" Martin can lend the special teams some fire.

edit 4 - Sean McDonough just choked up talking about the recent passing of Stefanie Spielman. Fuck everybody involved with that shit team up north, but fuck cancer infinitely more than that. RIP SS.

edit 5 - Oh. I guess they can kick now. 7-3 good guys.

edit 6 - TD Saine a couple mins later. 14-3.
edit 6.5 - Their return guy just got killed and I had to look to make sure it wasn't McGuffy
edit 6.5.5 - Aaaaaand Tater Tot pick.

edit 7 - The announcers just mentioned Brandon Graham's goal as a senior is to make a bowl. They have 5 wins right now. Let's see if he get's #6.

edit 8 - INT# 2 from Tater. The ref tried to save him, buuuuuuuut nope.

edit 9 - Ouch. INT #3 in the end zone. So close, dolphin teeth.

edit 10 - And there's #4. FORCE! Looks like we're gonna win this one again. Sorry, Graham.

edit 11 - Probably the last edit....I didn't realize the "We love you" banner for Rich Rod was ripped down by a dickbag Michigan fan.. Such a small time program disguised as a blue blood.
