If there's one school in the country where the boosters and NIL backers have started making playing decisions, it would be Texas. And while we can all point and laugh, we need to realize this isn't a cancer that will long stay confined to Austin. There's a reason that Gene Smith and Nick Saban both want to strangle the booster collectives in the crib. Little Lord Schottenstein hasn't put his "foundation" together because he wants less influence in and access to the program.

Ord, can't argue your point. Can only point out that Texas A&M might push Texas for that 'honor'. Oil money speaks big in Texas. The UT money is more verbose than A&M, as UT values themselves as the 'flagship university' and acts the part.
