The junior is accused of telling a freshman student that he was going to cut the flesh from his face and eat it, according to Texas A&M University police.

The freshman, a business administration major, apparently had drawn the ire of the older student by talking of his desire to become an Aggie yell leader.

I had a friend in my high school graduating class who received an academic scholarship to aTm. He hated the place, but stayed until October when a senior tossed a rattlesnake into the stall while my friend was showering.

He caught the first bus out of College Station and never looked back.

Sounds like your friend got lucky. Far worse things can happen in an aggy shower stall.

On paper, it comes off as a pretty good university. The dark underlying reality is that it is a weird, weird dysfunctional place. I was always adamantly against the notion of taking aggy as a means of getting UT. The prize just wasn't worth the accompanying baggage.

You'd think that, of the three states they got wrong on that footprint, at least ONE of them would have been seriously obvious to TEXAS A&M.

I think nothing shocked me quite as much as the cadet pulling his sword -- a sword!-- after kicking -- kicking -- an opponent's cheer leader and then threatening the guy in the chest and the face with the sword before being knocked on his keister.

a) How is this guy allowed to remain a student? (He was kicked out of the corps, but permitted to remain a student)

b) Why was he not brought into court? -- oh shit, I forgot, this is Texas --

c) Is this the same guy, and if so, what's he doing in a responsible job?
