Texas 21, Alabama 37 (BCSCG) Jan 7, 2010 on ABC

This sucks so much. I really wanted to see both teams at full strength. I hate to see a National championship cheapened like that, as the Horns will always say that Bama got lucky. Who can say that McCoy hurt is not a complete game changer? Short horn fans are exactly like Bama fans in their level of entitlement, so they will never admit that Bama's running game would have ground them down anyway. Oh well.

Problem is that in a game like this, one never really knows...

...could be true, but could be false...Texas's D has played really well in this game DESPITE being on the field so long, in horrible field position...

They lose a great QB, great. The line still has to open holes, WR's still have to catch the ball, and the D still has to tackle. None of this is happening.

No success up the middle, big yards are coming from the sweeps. WR's have stone hands. The D is arm tackling, whiffing and doing everything else but tackling. The Bama QB hasn't done a damn thing, but they are successful because they are opening holes, WR's have caught the one of two passes, and the D is tackling.

Texas has no answer for bama's rushing game. Even with Mccoy they would be getting pounded on defense.

EDIT

Wow mccoy out for game

No, he isn't moving his right arm at all. At the beginning of the season, it was kind of obvious that he had a stroke during the offseason, but you could see him making progress over the year. I'm not a medical professional, but I wouldn't be suprised if he gets checked out during the second half.

sarcasm font not working during the title game apparently.

You did notice the complete fundamental change of 3/4/5-wide zone-read to 2 wide/jumbo/pro set, right? 80% of their offense is gone, and it ain't coming back for this game.

So by a team winning by 18 at half it's easy to decipher this? Interesting logic..

Bama can't complete a damn pass, Texas can't lay a hand on Ingram until he's 5 yards down field, Texas can't run block, Alabama can't pass block, etc. This is just sloppy, ugly football.

Maybe I differ from you, though, and try to watch the games instead of looking at the scoreboard.

One Solution. Put Vince Young in. Mack Brown would be my hero. I would love to see the reaction by the Alabama side. haha
