When you're freshman qb is stinking up the joint and your only hope is that your real qb can heal up during the break...not to mention starting off the half with the ball, you absolutely play it safe. That is an ALL TIME blunder.

I don't think he was stinking up the place...

He made some good passes that were dropped (one that should've been a touchdown)...and made the RIGHT pass and just missed a few times...

He looked about like any true freshman backup on a major team would in a situation like that...

It's REAL easy to second guess coaching decisions when they go bad...

If that play had gone for 15-20 and Texas somehow managed to make it to the 30 for a FG attempt Mack Brown is "gutsy"...

I don't think sitting on the ball there helps the situation any more than going for it...Mack said it himself, his QB made the wrong decision...

Beatdown has started....

Too bad for everyone involved. I was looking for a really good, hard fought contest. But with Colt out of the game, it won't happen.

I like BAMA and wanted them to win, but not this way. Wouldn't it be one of the sports stories of the century if Colt came back in the game in the 2nd half and led Texas to a victory??

Do you think they could put VY in a McCoy jersey and get away with it???
