Tennessee's next Head Football Coach

A school like Louisville making a football coach the highest paid in the country seems absolutely moronic. Unless they can somehow get major conference affiliation (NOT the ACC), it's just a waste of money.

so to recap, Ten. has been turned down by:
Gruden
Gundy
Strong

this after settling for their 4th or 5th choice when they hired Dooley who was a replacement for Kiffen (who was also down the list of choices that year).

and these delusional fucks think its a desirable position.

Agreed with Fat Phil, he did great for them, and while not producing enough championships for their thirst, where he had them would be heaven now. I just don't see Larry Fedora as the answer... not sexy enough (no I'm not saying Phil is sexy), and the SEC certainly isn't Conference USA or ACC.

They will have to overpay to get someone right. Not pay the going rate to get the 4th guy on their list.

Fat Phil can be had at the right price, he wants it, and he could do as well as whose left, if not better IMO.

How about Texas Defensive coordinator Manny Diaz?

Has some good pedigree having worked as a D-Cord at FSU and Texas and also spent time in Tennessee at MTSU and in the SEC at Mississippi State

Texas fans expected to have a dominating defense this year. The defense turned out to be average (at best). Texas fans aren't too happy with Diaz right now. I can't imagine he'd be in the running for a major coaching job at this point.

They should seriously think about bringing Fulmer back.

Fulmer was the OG shady ass coach in SEC. He was basically the whistleblower on the Alabama scandal in the early 2000s. The NCAA conveniently overlooked Tennessee's own questionable dealings.

YES. BRING HIM BACK, PLEASE.
