I just do not understand how GS's stint at Rutgers can be seen as a negative? I mean WTF?
I would not be disappointed if for some reason Urban stepped down and we decided to promote GS to Head Coach. He is good enough for THE OSU, but for some dumbass Vol fans he isn't good enough for them? Seriously you idiots.

Back when Schiano was tapping James Gandolfini to help pitch the program and literally build Rutgers from nothing (second greatest turnaround in my lifetime behind Bill Snyder at KSU), Vol fans were watching their games on low rent Jefferson-Pilot broadcasts with three cameras. If they were on a national broadcast, they got Mike Patrick or Ron Franklin on ESPN2, or Verne and Gary blowing their loads all over the SEC over on CBS.
These people legitimately have no concept of how bad Rutgers was, because football north of the Mason-Dixon line historically didn't matter until it was time to find out which Big Ten team they'd get to play in the Citrus Bowl. And Big East football? Fuggedaboutit.
