Pretty decent comparison from a skill standpoint.I'm hoping that he turns out to be what we all hoped Stoneburner would be. I don't mean that disparagingly at all.
Stoneburner was an athletic tweener. Ruckert has been called one of the best TEs they've scouted by multiple analysts and Meyer.Pretty decent comparison from a skill standpoint.
And I love the sound of that!!!Stoneburner was an athletic tweener. Ruckert has been called one of the best TEs they've scouted by multiple analysts and Meyer.

Marcus Baugh wasn't the most devastating blocker in the history of the TE position.
If this kid is as advanced a pass catcher as the hype suggest then I'm sure they'll find a way to get him on the field until the blocking catches up.
Yep.
Gesicki from Penn State is well below average as a blocker. I still wouldn't want to take him off the field if he was on the Buckeyes.
Ruckert is not only a few inches taller then Jake but he's very muscular for his size too. I fully expect Ruckert to be a big step up from Jake with no disrespect to Jake.I'm hoping that he turns out to be what we all hoped Stoneburner would be. I don't mean that disparagingly at all.
And a lot of that with blocking as a TE is desire to do so.....Jeremy loves to block and has thrown some nasty ones. He's not afraid to get his nose dirty. I know he will have his work cut out for him, but I expect him to be a true freshman starter for us at TE.
FIFYPlus Coach Mick's regiment can add 20 pounds of muscle on him way with that length. It would be cool to finally have a TE that tOSU uses.
