TE Jake Stoneburner (Official Thread)

There's about a 5% chance if him going pro, even if he were to have a 50-catch, 10 TD season.

What if he returned 3 punts for touchdowns, sacked the opposing quarterbacks 11 times, blocked 21 punts, won the Heisman, kicked Jack Bauer's face in the crotch, dunked a basketball in Mark May's face, and sung "Carmen Ohio" in 5-degree weather while celebrating a national championship? I bet he'd contemplate going pro in that case. But it better be a tear-jerking rendition of "Carmen Ohio".

He is also the first tight end in modern Ohio State history to catch 3 touchdowns in a game. Other candidates considered for this week's Mackey Tight End of the Week include Orson Charles of Georgia and Joseph Fauria of UCLA.

How many TEs have declared early and got picked in the early- to mid-first round? No matter what kind of season he has this year, he'll improve his stock by sticking around another year and showing it was no fluke. Even if his staying improves his draft position by only 5-10 spots, the money he'll gain will be well worth it.

Terry Glenn holds the single season TD receptions record at Ohio State with 17. Not saying that Stoneburner can't get 18, but my vbet would be on something more like 10 for the season. I do agree though, GeorgiaBuck2, with the Baus starting, his chances seem to be better. See? We can agree on things! I'd rep you but I need to spread it around first, apparently.
