Stoneburner named John Mackey Tight End of the Week
Junior becomes the first OSU tight end in modern history to catch 3 touchdowns

Bethpage, N.Y. (September 7, 2011) - Jake Stoneburner of Ohio State was named John Mackey Tight End of the Week by the Nassau County Sports Commission. The Big 10 Conference junior recorded four receptions for 50 yards and three receiving touchdowns. Stoneburner was vital in the 42-0 shutout over Akron scoring the second, third and fourth touchdowns of the game as Ohio State pulled away. He is also the first tight end in modern Ohio State history to catch 3 touchdowns in a game. Other candidates considered for this week's Mackey Tight End of the Week include Orson Charles of Georgia and Joseph Fauria of UCLA.
