TE Cade Stover (Houston Texans)

What in the freaking hell is going on with this staff this year? Kids' arms and legs falling off, clearly not able to handle their assignments and the coaches are trotting them out there like lambs to slaughter.

That's not toughness. That's just recklessness and foolishness.

This is on the staff. It's got nothing to do with the players. And it's also embarrassing that players are being asked by the media to explain this.

I don't know what it means when people say that Coach Marotti is the "best in the business", but it sure as sh*t doesn't mean riding players who are injured into the ground, humiliating them in front of their team members, their families and the fans. Sh*t ain't even close to being right...
Agreed. You would think that OSU has more TEs than just Stover and Rossi. Are Hart and Bennet that bad to where they can't even effectively block on the edge or in space? I figured that was where those 2 excelled

I think that you’ve neglected to consider what real choices they (the coaches) have / had in the matter of who could play. Not joking, last spring I was on a sideline and looked behind me at the guys who were not dressed for a game… it was five starters (out of 10) and two second line guys. There were guys on the field who shouldn’t have been there due to their own injuries as well as experience. It didn’t make for a good day for anyone… but that’s who we had available. Sometimes you just have to play who can go, even if they aren’t 100%.

What has lead to the number of injuries this year is something that I think is fair to debate, but the hyperbolic “riding players into the ground” and talk of “humiliating them” may be just a bit outside.

There no hyperbole here... just straight up trying to think what it must've felt for the players.
Do you think Cade would say he's proud of how he played? Do you think that if he was the coach he'd put his players in the same position?

Mind you... I'm not saying that the staff did something that they knew would put the players in a humiliating situation. All I'm saying is that they should have seen what was going on and pulled them out of there.

Whatever. Your last passage was pure hyperbole. That’s the last I’m engaging on this bullshit. You can be better. You should be better.

Huge that he's coming back... hopefully an extra year knowing the offense and learning from Bailey will provide a huge year for Cade.

That's 2 of the 3 roommates. I'd imagine Tommy is coming back too.

Just sayin': There use to be four roommates (i.e. Shaw transferred to USC)....

Cade Stover looks like a linebacker, talks like a linebacker, thinks like a linebacker and lives with linebackers. His roommates include Ohio State linebackers Tommy Eichenberg and Steele Chambers and safety Bryson Shaw.

Absolutely huge to have Cade back, heart and soul of the offense. Not only glad to have his talent back, but his toughness and leadership. As said above, whoever is at QB and OL next year should rejoice in this news.
