The accuser in this report has known the author, Bax, for an extended period of time (it was said as much in the article comments). When faced with a situation one is unfamiliar with is it not reasonable to see how the person attacked would not go to the someone he could trust to get the proper story out?

It confirms two points of the Bucknuts report.

1. Lewan was at the scene.
2. A senior detective was assigned to the case.

Note that this probably doesn't go anywhere as the detective assigned to the case was the same assigned to the Gibbons rape accusation:
