Meh, sounds like cutting off your nose to spite your face.

I'd much rather see Quinn get sacked a few more times, throw a pick or two, and have ND lose by 20+ if at all possible. A terrible game for ND looks worse for Weiss than a mere bad call for a fake punt.

uhh... notre ame's loss to lsu by fewer than seven points will not hurt me (or lsu) more than it will hurt notre ame, which is what that phrase means here.

edit: well, it doesn't matter now. in fact, the great margin now almost validates weis's decision... though it doesn't.

edit Ndukwe got burned just like he did in the Fiesta Bowl last year. He has a full year more under his belt and still has no clue how to play safety
