Steroid/HGH Speculation

Frank Thomas probably shouldn't be on that list played tight end in college at Auburn...Then again he did play college football in the 80's in the SEC. But seriously I doubt it, he was nautuarlly massive and if you gonna add for those reason might as well speculate with Mo Vaugh, David Ortiz etc.
Unless somebody spiked Mo Vaugh's Krispy Kremes, I think he's OK.

I'm not sure about Papi though. He's had some health problems since 2006 when he was scratched for suffering an irregular heartbeat, and now all of a sudden he's miraculously concerned about his health and well-being and reported to camp this year lighter than ever before.

Uh huh ...

Frank Thomas was the first person to come to my mind when I realized there were 103 names that we don't know about. The guy is a [censored]ing horse. If he wasn't on the juice, I'll root for the Yankees, Lakers, Patriots, Duke, and the SEC to all win their respective championships.

Well if he did he is a massive hypocrite( of course Palmero and others fit that bill) as well as a cheater.

Thomas a bright light in shadow of steroids

I'm not really mad about it, but I do feel I was overshadowed by some of those guys," Thomas said. "And I was penalized in contract situations because of (those comparisons) -- I had a diminished-skills clause written in after I hit 29 home runs and drove in 92 RBIs (in 2002), and I think those (inflated numbers by steroid users) are partly to blame."

"I was the one who was naive about what's going on," Thomas said. "I said, 'No one is taking that stuff. Guys are just working harder and harder in the gym.' I expected there would be a strong drug-testing program, and I just didn't think baseball players would do it. I did not think it was the kind of sport where guys would need steroids."

I'm 100% sure on Bo Jackson and about 80% sure on The Big Hurt(though I wouldn't be surprised if he did mess with something during he era to recover faster from getting hurt all the time).

Guys that it wouldn't shock me at all if they used at some point:

Josh Hamilton
Brandon Phillips
Matt Williams
Brady Anderson (ok I am 100% certain he used, but no one really cares anymore  )
Albert Belle
Carlos Beltran
Jeff Bagwell

Players that I do not think ever used:

Mike Mussina
Mark Grace
Craig Biggio
Fred McGriff

Those are a few I can come up with off of the top of my head....

Brandon Phillips???? Really??

#1 person on my list who I think used would be David Ortiz

-Amazing how you can go from hitting 20 Hr's to hitting 54 Hr's in 3 years.

Wouldnt be surprised if it came out Travis Hafner used roids either. The bat looks like an f'en toothpick in his hands.

Manny Ramirez hitting behind you creates career numbers.

I hope he didn't. He was my favorite White Sox player. But I can't look at a guy that big anymore and not have my doubts.

IDC who's hitting behind you. You dont go from 18 HR's to 50 HR's within 3 years. And just look at that picture.

my dad golfed with Kevin Millar a few years ago, and he was saying he'd be a Hall of Famer with Manny hitting behind him.....he said it jokingly, but the point was made.

It's no surprise Ortiz' numbers dramtically dipped as soon as Manny left town last year either.

I think the year Jeff Kent won his MVP, Barry Bonds was hitting behind him, not surprisingly. It's the difference between getting meatballs in 2-0, 3-1 counts and a pitcher putting you on first base and attacking the next hitter.

Not saying Bo didn't take anything, but he is probably the best athlete i've ever had a chance to see. I think god gave him a rare genetic gift, regardless.
