Steroid/HGH Speculation

Will be interesting to hear his story? Maybe he forgets how to speak English like Sosa...
I'm guessing either:

1) He is being framed by a SI reporter writing a book.

2) It was something a cousin purchased for him over the counter (in the Dominican Republic). He had no idea it was banned.

All their stories are garbage.. he would be smart to not say anything.. I love Manny.. have ever since he was an Indian in the '90's .. didn't fellow teammate Albert Bell take them too?

IMO - toss Manny & A-Rod both out of the MLB.. set the example.

Here's the excuse: Ramirez's agent tells Peter Gammons no steroids - says the drug that caused Manny's positive result was prescribed by his doctor.

Riiiiight.

That should be easy enough to prove/disprove is that's the case.

Jesus, Baseball sucks so much these days. :( :shake:

And these days have been going on for about 15 years. I've been soured since the strike of '94.

If I were in MLB, and was clean, I'd be outraged at the cheaters that are getting the huge contracts and taking the lion's share of the players' revenue pool.

I'd be a loud voice leading the effort to make all MLB players be tested monthly on a year-round basis, both urine and blood tests, with the samples saved for future testing. I'd campaign for the Union leadership to share those views. I'd be saying that the players' rights to privacy aren't worth letting the cheaters get a disproportionate share of the revenue pool - those bastards are taking away huge dollars from the players that are clean.

I'd also want clauses in all MLB contracts that said that those caught cheating would have to pay back half of their salaries, even if they're caught cheating due a sample being tested in the future. because that might scare more guys into staying clean.

And still none of that would happen - but I'd be saying it.

I would strongly disagree regarding Manny. He is just a natural born hitter and when you look at him he does not have the body type from a guy that would have been using roids. I don't think Randy Johnson has that type of body either when looking at him but I feel stronger more about Manny.

Having second thoughts? :wink2:

Peter Gammons, the Larry King of ESPN.

MLB players that screw up and need a platform to present themselves as innocent victims of happenstance call Peter Gammons. His cell number is on speed dial in every MLB clubhouse, I'm sure of it.
