Steelers(-5.5) at Browns

Okay that did it. Being USC week and all I was going to lay off of the NFL games but when you give points to the Cleveland Browns against Pittspuke in Cleveland that did it. 5k on my Browns! That amount might go up as the week progresses and I think more about how much I hate the Squealers:(

I'm a pessimist by nature... but the Browns win this game.
That's bold.

I'm a pessimist and remain so until proven wrong. If the front seven can't get pressure on Toothlessberger he'll pick them apart. The run defense didn't look any better either, so Parker and Mendenhall may be very hard to contain. Plus, history ain't exactly tilting in our favor.

Then again, they are due and maybe they wake up in week 2.

I think Dallas began a season of horrors for us. By horrors, 7 maybe 8 wins. This team just doesn't seem to have an "it" quality.

And I ABSOLUTELY hate this defense. I think Pittsburgh runs all over the 3-4 and Ben, in turn, has all day to throw when they decide to.

The good news is San Antonio will probably get a lot of action.

I knew the Browns secondary was going to be an area of concern for you, but what suprised me the most against Dallas was how out of sync the offense was. Awful lot of talent on that unit to look the way they did on Sunday.

To be honest coming into this season I had no idea what to expect from our offensive line. I have had a thought in the back of my mind for the past few seasons that Faneca was a cancer in the locker room, but I never thought losing him might make us better. It's kind of looking that way, at least early on.

I can't wait for this weekend.

Bucks and USC
Steelers and Browns
and a case of Sam Adams Octoberfest

I didn't see much for concern on offense....couple of huge drops, and a very predictable offense once we went down multiple scores.

Any offense is going to look like we did on Sunday if the defense can make you one dimensional.

Let Jamal really become a focus, and the ofense will click.

Unfortunately, I have a feeling we will be playing from behind a majority of the year. And I hate the match-up this weekend. After just saying our offense will be fine, Pittsburgh is one team who has the capability of making us look very bad. Even if the offense struggles again, I'm not concerned about the O too much. We have many more areas of concern...

I think you should remember that the Browns offense has not played very much as a unit during the preseason because of injuries and that might be a reason that they looked out of sync to you. However, after saying that, I think it is very important for you to remember that your Squealers are not the Dallas Cowboys. I will admit that the Browns looks very bad last week but I also think that there will be an improvement come Sunday. We shall see.

The only thing I would say is that you essentailly have all of the same personel back on offense from last season and I can tell you that our first string offense never once showed in the preseason anything that made me anticipate them putting up 38 on anyone. Lack of time together in the preseason had something to do with the offense not clicking for you guys on Sunday but you can't tell me you are not at least a little concerned with how it looked this past week. Some of my friends who are Brown's fans went from opptimistic to writing the season off in one afternoon, I think it's far too soon for that, but the possibility of an 0-2 start has to be a little scary.

And we aren't the Cowboys but we can hurt you in some of the same ways. I will take Ben any day over Romo and Willie is a better version of Felix Jones who gave your defense fits on limited carries. Their offense is better than ours and our defense is better than theirs. What in the world did you guys do to the schedule maker? Here is the good news, your first two games are at home, and now the bad news, they are against Dallas and Pittsburgh.

As Danny Noonan knows all too well
"Tanks for nuttin"

Hope it's a good game and another season like last year because god knows the North is a two team race, Baltimore is starting some guy named Flaco
