LoKy: "This may be the best of all the films from some of the reviews I've read."

What do you expect Smith to say? He's trying to Direct an upcoming Star Wars TV show. That's what this blurb in his review is in reference to ("but happy to know it's not the end of the "Star Wars" universe entirely (I've read stuff about a TV show...)."). Its not gonna help his cause to give 'Sith' a scathing review.

Smith panders to Lucas and Stan Lee, creator of Marvel Comics (quite possibly the two biggest bullshit artists in the world) no matter what they say or do. They could eat alphabet soup and shit out a script and Smith would say that its the greatest thing ever.

I heard about a review in Esquire magazine that said something to this effect: if you recieve three identical packages, and the first two are turds, what makes you think that the third will be a diamond?

I take all reviews of films with a grain of salt..... but some people that tore the first two apart have really liked this one. I have a friend who works for ILM and did some make up for this one. I'll take his review above all other and he said that it is far better than the Ep1 and Ep2.

max_sterling: "Right click and save as, it's a big damn clip. Shows a lot"

Holy cow! Where did you get this???

LoKy: "I take all reviews of films with a grain of salt"

I won't try and pretend that I know your opinions or anything. But, I read the book and if you didn't like the first two, I don't think you'll like this one. Its all along the same lines. In fact, I think it muddies up the waters under the bridge between the two trilogies even more.

Famous last words:

IronBuckI: "I am very excited to see Revenge of The Sith"

strohs: "Wow, that movie is going to be bad-assed."

DCBuckFan: "but wow... looks 100x better than episode 1 or 2.... "

LoKy: "I'll take his review above all other and he said that it is far better than the Ep1 and Ep2."

Luca: "Most of us were also between 5-15 years old when the first three movies came out, so our perspectives were limited and naive."

Natalie Portman (aka Padme Amidala) in Revenge of the Sith: 'HOLD me, Anakin! "Hold me like you did by the lake on Naboo!"

That's an actual line from the movie. Whoa. Anyone want to take back their previous comments??

To Luca: lines like that sucked when I was 5, 7, 10, 11, 12, 15, and all the way up to 30. My perspective hasn't changed. Lucas just sucks.

Gee, let's see. I know someone that works for Industrial Light and Magic.... and worked on this film.... and numerous other hollywood films.... and they seem to think that's it's better than 1 & 2. Yeah... I'll take back my statement because you've read some books and seem to know everything about the Star Wars world. :roll2:

My favorite Star Wars story remains one about someone who saw the first movie. This fella was in college at the time.

Remember this was the 70's ...

He had eaten a couple (or three) hash brownies an hour or so before showtime of the premiere.

Sat with apparent rapt attention watching the on-screen action during the whole flick.

Came out and was asked what he thought of Star Wars by his girlfriend, he said... laughing ...

"You know, I really enjoyed it, but can you tell me the plot?"

Plus ca change?

So I figured out the only chance I'm going to have to go see Episode 3 between now and the end of the weekend is tomorrow. I hate crowds at movies, but my weekend is packed from Friday through Sunday. Hopefully if I leave work early and go to the 3:45 showing it won't be too bad. Damn nerds.

Hell, I won't have a chance til Sunday afternoon at best, and that is a bit iffy. Dang Softball, weddings and my brother coming into town.

I keep hearing so many great things I cannot wait to see this movie!!!

I saw it last night, and in my opinion the expecations (which are rather low) that this is the best of the current trilogy are easily true.

Good to great movie, a lot of things going on. Ended well

Then again, I am a old time Star Wars freak.
