Starcraft II - Wings Of Liberty

Alternate.

Probably campaign first though - the story is what really kept people playing well before the mod community outstreched their hands for the mutliplayer.

Quicker I get through the campaign, quicker I find out if the Xel'naga will be in the expansion.

Yea...i love the story behind the game. I think that is what sets Blizzard apart from other game companies. They put alot of time and effort into creating the lore and story behind the game, which sets them apart. I think i'm going for the campiagn as well, even though it would be nice to get a leg-up on people in online play.

Extended - Ghosts of the Past. The final score and sequences are just awesome.

Wow, that was amazing!! I've been waiting 12 years for this game, and it looks like it will exceed my expectations! Looks like the story is going to get pretty damn crazy...i hope when the Zerg and Protoss expansions come out, that they add to the story and it isn't just the same story/plot but from 3 different perspectives. After watching that trailer, they could easily make a movie out of this game.

Interesting fact...i read online yesterday that it cost Blizzard $100 million to make this game over the past 12 years. So i'm guessing this is going to be something out of this world, literally.

Yep. I feel old now. I remember playing the original demo. Terran only, the demonstration video looked like you could use Battlecruisers as drop ships so myself and 3 friends spent like 2 days trying to figure out how. Then we decided to buy a few copies - the rest is history.

That was nearly 12 years ago... wow, I miss some of those days.

especially for Blizzard games). But over the summer I'll probably be playing it once the official comes out.

Still holding you to this btw...

Awesome. I now have approximately 20 capacitors to replace on my two video cards before I can play this game. :smash:

Nothing too fancy. 256MB geForce SLI cards. I can't remember the exact number... I had them running together, but my PC was in a cabinet that had good exhaust but not a good inlet. The main card blew all of the 470uF and 1500uF caps, so I removed the PC from the cabinet and have been running the secondary card as a stand alone. It acts up intermittently, so I'm sure that I'll want to replace all of the caps on that board too. I've been an electrical technician/engineer for the last 10 years, so I've got the solder skills to pull it off, I'm just pissed that the basic rule of heat being the enemy is what I overlooked when I put the PC in the cabinet, and is what ultimately is causing these cards to fail.

Acting up? ... if your talking early 7800 lines (not sure how often you upgrade your equipment) the memory on those things rainbow's pretty easy.
The 8600 lines were notorious for this sort of thing though (caps going) Did you get that high pitched whistle before hand?

1500uf?..... that's 6.3v - you can find some solid replacements for those without issue. Not sure how you forgot the heat thing though - generally speaking that's the last thing you can get off your mind :wink2:

I might have a 7600gt around here somewhere though - let me see if I can't find that thing.

For the love of god don't manually underclock your card for the sake of heat - I can't tell you how many times I've seen people do this.

(severe) Underclocking = overvolting.

As for the game. The 1st campaign is sick. The interactive pre-mission are awesome. The upgrades to the troops and tech before hand. Each Hyperion deck, the story itself - Zero hour was
a nice little Deja' Vu from the original backwater mission. Doubt anybody else remembers that.

Finally finished the campaign last night. I absolutely loved the whole campaign. The prophecy missions were amazing addin's to the storyline and had some big shockers. Overall i was very impressed with each mission setup. I cannot wait for the next installment of the game to see what happens to the story.

Now its time to go back and finish off the skipped missions and the achievements on normal that i didn't get.

We need to get some days designated for Multi-player.

That said. I wrapped up the campaign (offline) the other night, could'nt get a connection to Bnet for some odd reason. While it was a fantastic story and well setup, I'm not to fond of the whole "trilogy" or episode type context.
The game is 12GB already, I mean, the rest can only be a campaign and maybe a few addition units types. So Blizzard damn well better charge expansion prices otherwise I might re-consider buying.
