Stanford +7.5 at ND (ov/un 44.5) Sat 3:30 NBC

Catholics vs. Conifers

Despite Stanford faltering against Washington and playing poorly defensively against Arizona, I don't like the Irish in this one. Stanford has dominated the Irish in recent years with smash mouth football, and it's one of the reasons USC has had troubles with them too. Even without Andrew Luck, they still have weapons on offense and their defense completely bottled up the Irish last year in Palo Alto. Theres also an 80% chance of rain for the game which will make the passing game difficult, and I feel like Stanford's offensive line is good enough to make holes for Taylor. I think the Irish drop to 5-1.

There's no way the Fighting Irish lose this week. I'll make sure of that. Touchdown Jesus has got nothing on me now.

Still think Stanford is going to have the edge in this game, I'm enjoying the signs on Gameday though. Just saw this one on TV, came from IrishEnvy, it's making rounds on Twitter:

Some other humerous ones:
"Aaron Lynch, was Gameday at your wedding?"
"Who all seen the leprechaun say yeah" reference: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nda_OSWeyn8"]Leprechaun in Mobile, Alabama - YouTube[/ame]
"Good Luck Stanford-- you're gonna need him"
My favorite: "SEC--This is what a library looks like"

The drop off from Luck to Nunes is astronomical. That wounded duck was his second INT of the first quarter.
