we were led to believe that you were friendly?

Usually, if you don't start anything, you won't have a serious problem. But prepare to be harassed by pretty much everyone you meet if you are wearing SC gear. Some will be light-hearted, some will be pretty "douchebaggish." Just the way it goes with as many passionate people as will be there on that day.

Edit: And judging by your attempts at trolling, there's a very good chance you will end up watching the game from a hospital bed.

so they did not use starters before? I thought I remembered reyrey and maybe cushing out there at times, but you clearly watch them more.
so they plan to go for more blocks?

Too bad, we just graduated our former rb punter, he went for a 50 yd td in week 1, and humiliated Jones scoreboard in week 2 of the preseason. He rushed for more yards than beanie in hs.

does this pass as an acceptable answer?

whats your view of the buckeyes? what are the key holes to fill? strengths?

we usually pick one away game to go to: vtech, nd, nebraska...all have been good experiences, mostly friendly opposition.

the worst is/was cal bears...commies!

rey did play some on coverage teams, sometimes without the coaches permission but the talk is that it will be much more common this year. more emphasis on returns and coverage than punt blocking.

1. USC doesnt have the best defense in the country. The best defense in the country is in Florida.

2. Even though USC has some pretty intense practices (Trust me, I know) that doesnt compare to a live game where guys want to puropsely eff you up.

3. Barkley has never played in a environment like the 'shoe before. Combine the crowd, the intensity, the pressure, and just the fact that he is young you shouldnt expect him to be out there slinging like Sanchez did last year. Some USC fans seem to expect Barkley to be like Sanchez, but Sanchez was a 3 year vet in the system and played in games like at Oregon and at Notre Dame. Even in those games Sanchez didn't look mind blowing. They relied on the running game and skill players.

4. The game will be close and I would have USC as a slight favorite if I was Vegas, but I wouldnt be calling USC's defense the best in the country and Barkley the next Tebow before he has taken a live snap.

5. The kid is a gunslinger like posted earlier in this thread. He has all the physical tools needed to be a Hall of Famer, and he is smart when it comes to learning offenses but he does like to force the ball here and there just like Sanchez and Palmer did when they were young. Kid will be decent and be fine in the game, but I wouldnt go out on the limb and say he is going to play better than Colt McCoy did.

6. Anyone who says Pryor cant throw the ball is a dumb f**K

I saw him in high school his senior year. He was really a one man show that year. He had a sophomore reciever who is going to be a stud in a few years, but besides that he tried to force a lot of things.

He forced a lot of throws, threw into coverage, and sometimes got a little too hyped up (mentally).

Personally I think he will be in between what USC fans and OSU fans think. He will be able to run their offense and know what is going on. He will be capable of being able to make throws to open recievers. He will not be able to win the game by himself though.

If we play stout defense then he will make his mistakes. If we allow guys to get open or give him time in the pocket he will make the throws necessary to win.

Kid is talented and smart when it comes to understanding a offense. He will be rattled though early on in the game if his senior year proves anything. Who knows maybe he has grown a lot since then, but I don't think he has grown enough to handle a very talented OSU defense in a rocking 'shoe.
If he forces things like he did his senior year, he will get splinters in his butt, trust me. With CPC, turnovers do happen, gut each one will be looked at individually, so if he is pressin', the pine will be waitin'!
Me personally, I think he will be fine.

Well USC fans wanted Sanchez to start over John David Booty starting Day 1, and when Sanchez got his chance as a redshirt-sophomore it was easy to see that just because the player had all the physical skills and was a great leader that sometimes it just takes time.

I think Barkley is a better prospect than Sanchez was, but both had the same "Farve" mentality. I think Barkley will be fine, but I think people are expecting him to perform like what you've seen from 1st year production with LEinart, Booty, and Sanchez. He will be fine, but he wont be as good early on as those 3 were.

My advice is to act like you're a freshman in high school. People will give you a hard time, mostly lighthearted, some mean spirited... But if you let it roll off you you should be fine. Avoid the campus areas, east and south of the shoe. Do that and you should be fine.

There are a lot of pottymouths , but that's where it stops with 99% of fans.

Most osu fans are big time tailgaters, and many will welcome you to join them for grilling out, cornhole games, hidden beer, etc. Get there early and enjoy the surroundings. They'll be out there in the early morn, once you guys roll out of bed.

Taxis are infrequent other than certain areas, i'd try to have some of your own wheels or plan out your trips using the bus routes.

The pro rally before the game is fun, its in st John arena about two hours before kick. You'll have to get there long before that if you want a seat. It is mostly the osu band playing songs, covers, etc, the team walks through. It is always packed with about 12000 folks, and thousand or three lining the walk to the shoe, where the team and band walk through.

If you're here for a full weekend, i'd suggest checking out some places downtown, German village, Easton (closest we have to southern Cal malls)

P.s. If you win the way you expect, I wouldn't linger too long after.

What a minute. You opine that you will own us in the trenches yet you know nothing about our team. I swear having a discussion with most SC fans is like living in some odd remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

How can you say what I've put in bold when Pete's track record has been to stick with his man once he's made up his mind?

Maybe I'm wrong, and I'm sure you know more about SC than I do, but what SC QB has hit the pine owing to poor performance?

pete's been fortunate lately not to have that issue at the qb position, but last year mcknight, gable both sat after fumbling...he hates turnovers...just like i'm sure tressel does
