much better supporting cast and you'll be surprised how mature he is...doubt you'll see a repeat of mccoy's performance a few years ago.

i think we'll beat you up in the trenches, both sides of the ball. Dline is big and very fast and the oline are earthmovers! mcknight, sjohnson, cable, bradford are all ready to rumble.

big difference this year is a new special teams coach, never had one before now and a new focus on making plays on special teams.

I doubt if he has faced what he will face this year and since practicing against a your own team that won't hit you isn't quite the same and then we will see how mature he is.
I think it will be quite a game but we will win because we have the better QB.

Texas returned their entire nc winning offense other than vince.

Selvin young, jamaal Charles, Henry melton at rb... Both had depth. Better power back in stafon, better speed back in Charles.

Limas sweed, billy Pittman, Quan cosby, Jordan shipley at wr. Edge Texas in depth, talent is too soon to judge USC.

Texas had serious talent and depth on both lines. They also had young lbs.

most were shocked at how poised mccoy was as a RS frosh, he was remarkable that year.

Why, are they kicking it differently?

he's been practicing against, arguably, the best defense in the nation every day for awhile now...not sure he'll face better on sept 12

Your calling a defense that's never played a down the best in the nation. Aren't they replacing 8 starter's, or something to that effect...You think Smith, Morgan, Glippo are going to proform up to the level of Clay, Rey, and Cushing? The latter of which was were first day draft picks...

Has that defense been going knock down all out against him? I doubt it.
Look , It's great that you are proud of your team and players but we have a hard time believing it so just because you feel how you feel isn't going to convince us of anything. We can say the same stuff about our team right?
The truth is no one knows yet how good either one of our teams is going to do this year since talent doesn't necessarily mean a team.

Just how do you know how mature he is? The kid has never been in any atmosphere game-wise that will remotely resemble what he'll be in the evening of Sept 12th. Let's see how he responds the first time he gets knocked flat on his ass...

Somehow I doubt they are trying to hurt him given their depth chart. That's a rather substantial difference for a young, inexperienced qb.

no, but griffen, tupou, casey, mays, pinkard, wright and thomas are a year older/better. last years strength was lb's (im sure you remember the ass whopping rey rey put on your boys!) and this years strength is overall quickness, the dline and the dbs. this years lbs are faster than last years though...and going against a qb who cant throw, we'll be just fine!!

one of the complaints our fans have is that PC pushes the "competition thing" a little too hard which results in injuries...i don't buy that but you will never see anyone "letting up" in practice.

Hopefully i'll get an answer on the third try... What is different? Was it terrible before? Why is it such a big difference now?

I'm well aware of the importance of special teams. You just haven't given any rationale other than a blank statement and a new coach.

Around here we welcome dissenting opinions, but you have to back them up with something.
