no i'm just looking for a general idea.
I don't have time to read 60 pages at the moment.

Ok. In my opinion Ohio State wins this game.

True freshman QB will probably get the nod in the Shoe. Atmosphere will be electric.

USC is a little banged up going into the game. O'Dowd may be back maybe not, Damian Williams is banged up.

USC lost a ton on D and Ohio State's offense, while young, should be better than last year with Terrelle Pryor being better.

I still think it will be close, but Ohio State will win. 27-17.

Well, then, I expect Ohio State to win a close game. There's a lot of new faces on both sides of the ball for both teams, but I like our edge at quarterback and look for more options in the playbook.

Again i'm not asking for anyone to start over. I'm just asking for someone's opinion.
USCStephan: Here it is. None of us know. We are all scared to death that the new offensive line won't live up to the hype and play much better than last year's line. None of us really has a clue. None of us believe that the offensive skill players will see too much of a drop-off from last year's game. We expect Pryor will be better, but none of the skill player stuff matters if the line still stinks. I think most of us see the same thing on the defensive line but we're a touch more optimistic as the line played better as the year went along. The linebackers are new but should be plenty talented and we feel that the one corner spot will be filled reasonably well.

Last year we watched our line get in a "pillow fight" as Chris Spielman called it with Ohio before the USC game and had a pretty good idea. If the line is again in a "pillow flight" with Navy there is no hope. But even if they dominate Navy we still won't know because Navy for sure ain't USC.

I could see why that might happen.

Barkley will not be the starter. Corp more than likely and Mustain might be over taking Barkley at this time. Atmosphere will be great, no doubt.

O'Dowd may be back. Corp will be back. Williams is fine. USC is no more banged up than most teams. Isn't OSU also banged up?

We lose a ton at linebacker.
General consensus however is that USC linebackers are faster this year, not as big, their speed will better enable defending a Pryor who has yet to show a viable passing threat. Not that he won't.

Thanks for the opinion.

Plain and simple Ohio State domination of USC.

I will agree with an SC blogger, "Pryor runs for 700 and throws for 400."

Seriously though...an improved D-line (according to reports, of course), and a hopefully drastically improved O-line for tOSU will make or break this game for us. Although you guys lost a lot on defense and some on offense, you guys reload like tOSU does, so this will come down to tOSU playing to their potential. I can see tOSU winning by more than a TD if they do that, or I can just as easily see SC leaving with another W because they show up for the big games.

I agree that the game will be decided like most games upfront. I am very confident that we know what USC OL versus OSU's DL are capable of. Obviously both units were new last season and USC came out tops last time. The question remains which unit improved more over the last year. We wont really know until the game.

Now on the other hand the other line battle is a much larger question.
