Our last home/away with USC was 1989/1990:

09-23-1989 Los Angeles, CA
USC 42, OSU 3

09-29-1990 Columbus, OH
USC 35, OSU 26

OSU finished 8-4 in 1989 and 7-4-1 in 1990. USC finished 9-2-1 in 1989 and 8-4-1 in 1990.

He meant the last pair of games that were actually completed to full time. :wink2:

Does "Illinois 28, Ohio State 21" ring a bell? And it's "loses", dipshit...

Lighten up Francis... Jeash. No reason to loose the dogs:wink2: Stupid spell checker and homophones. BTW, when was the last non-BCS bowl attending school Ohio State lost to? And SC? Yeah we made Juice look like a Heisman but they still went to the Rose Bowl.

As to arrogance and Tressel values- OSU has an elusive quality that I admire and I don't think SC has. If failed to express it well I humbly submit that goes to speak to the elusiveness of the quality as well as the depth of my head up my ass.

I haven't been on the bottom of a Mili dog pile for a while... Time for a distraction:

This article made me think of Pete Carrol-

Twitter Creator on Iran: 'I Never Intended Twitter To Be Useful'

SAN FRANCISCO?Creator Jack Dorsey was shocked and saddened this week after learning that his social networking device, Twitter, was being used to disseminate pertinent and timely information during the recent civil unrest in Iran. "Twitter was intended to be a way for vacant, self-absorbed egotists to share their most banal and idiotic thoughts with anyone pathetic enough to read them," said a visibly confused Dorsey, claiming that Twitter is at its most powerful when it makes an already attention-starved populace even more needy for constant affirmation. "When I heard how Iranians were using my beloved creation for their own means?such as organizing a political movement and informing the outside world of the actions of a repressive regime?I couldn't believe they'd ruined something so beautiful, simple, and absolutely pointless." Dorsey said he is already working on a new website that will be so mind-numbingly useless that Iranians will not even be able to figure out how to operate it.

As was the case with UT and Penn St, it is entirely possible for SC to pull out a win. But it would literally all they got and it would surprise me if they did. I don't think SC has enough on defense to get it done, but if they did it was probably because they jumped off to a quick lead by capitalizing on a couple of errors in the secondary. I envision this as TP's coming out game.

Heck no, it wasn't USC parking in the handicapped zones......but that's probably only because their football players have a valet service by their locker room. Right 'Thomps?

:gobucks3::gobucks4::banger: And ScUM still :scum4:

Don't really buy the "USC plays with no heart- look, they lost to OreSt.,Stanford,etc... argument" or that there is some kind of trend when it comes to close games.

Nobody told Florida they had no heart after losing to Ole Miss, or to Michigan after losing to App. State (oh wait, never mind...)

Point being, every team loses games they should have won from time to time, and I think it's ludicrous to try to point to a handful of close losses and say that it indicates some kind of a trend. I think it's more telling that we haven't lost a game in the past 7 years by more than a touchdown...

I think if the game is close in the 4th quarter, it'll come down to which QB is the better leader. I would be hugely impressed by Corp if he can take over the game in the 4th, against an improved D and an extremely hostile and noisy crowd.

If Pryor ends up pulling a Vince Young on us, I will just throw up and probably break my TV.

But when all is said and done, I think as long as it's a close game, a loss for either team will be forgiven in the long run. It's at the beginning of the season for one, and I don't see too many other elite teams with anything close to a comparable OOC loss. Maybe Oklahoma with BYU, but thats about it. A one-loss USC or OSU would almost have to be in the NC picture at the end of the year.
I dont really agree with your last comment, because neither OSU or USC are from the media lovefest conferences the sec or little 12.
Its seems to be the majority of media talking heads opinion that neither school can afford to lose a single game and stay in the mnc hunt.
I guess its due to perceived weak conf. play, but we all know that really isnt true.
IMO, as long as a sec team gets in the mnc game, the voters are happy.
Again, just my opinion.

Are you shitting me? USC will get a pass unless we blow them out. The media has loved USC since Petey-boy turned them around in 2003. SoCal is the largest market in the country. Everyone in the country would watch USC in the NC game, even if they have an early season loss. If USC loses to OSU by a couple points and then runs the table in convincing fashion, I'll bet the house USC gets in the NC game.

Conversely, if OSU loses to USC, no matter how closely, then OSU will need huge help the rest of the season just to get back in the NC picture.

I hear the same thing EVERY year, yet I also hear how they shouldnt have lost a game against a conf. team like ore. st, ucla, or stanford, ALL close games, and no SC in mnc game. So,where is that pass you speak of?
You talk about largest media market, but that doesnt mean they are SC fans, after all, SC only has a few fans show up for spring game.
I think that the 2 schools with the LARGEST world wide fanbase is tOSU and notre dame. Again, just my opinion.
I will use last year as an example. We lost to oregon st barely, then won the next 8 games by an ave. score of 43-7 and still went to the rose bowl. Not what I would call media darlings.

Just looking at the USC side. USC's record says it all. The bloom is off the rose. They just have not been good enough to play for the national championship recently. All the great coaches leaving has to have an effect.Yes. They still win(most of their games) on their great talent. Arguably the best in college football. But the offensive side has taken a slide.
That being said' we lost a lot of experience and could very well lose this game. TP will have to be Superman for us to win. But, that's what these big games are about.(Texas, Fiesta Bowl) Somebody making the big plays to win. Time for TP to become Superman! (the most dangerous player in college football)
