We're going to win.

tOSU - 28
USC - 17

I hope you're right, but I don't see Ohio State having "that" season. I see them as the class of the Big 10, even playing Penn State in Happy Valley, but I don't think much of this coming year's Big 10.

I don't think this offense can stay on the field with the likes of USC, Florida, LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas.

One question will be answered quickly, which game was the fluke last year, OSU v USC or OSU v Texas?

Obviously, it's tough to say right now what type of team we are going to have come the 2009 season. We have a lot of question marks regarding some critical positions on our roster, particularly at left tackle. I'm thrilled that Boren has been playing as an offensive lineman should be playing, with anger, aggression, and nastyness. But that passion serves no purpose if the guys to the right and left of him are confused.

I'm really hoping we have a season in the near future where Ohio State is not just looked at as the "Class of the Big Ten" yet "just not good enough to hang with the likes of USC, Oklahoma, Florida, Alabama, LSU, etc." We've all heard that now for 2 years. OSU is an elite program, one of the best in the country, always has been. We should be able to hang with anyone. We just need to get back to beleiving we can do it.

I don't think either game (OSU/USC or OSU/Texas) was a fluke last season. Each of those games showed where the Buckeyes were at that point in the season. USC was clearly one of the best teams in the country last season, if not the best. I believe they would have beaten both OU and Florida, but that's just me. Texas was a strong team, certainly top 5, but not at USC's ability, IMO. We were not going to beat that USC team in LA, we just weren't good enough, regardless of who our QB was.

I'm hoping the confidence of Pryor will ooz into this young group of players. I honestly believe that confidence is the only thing that has been holding this team back from winning the "big games" the past 2 seasons.

They just gotta believe!

Neither were flukes. We weren't prepared for USC one bit. We folded. Against Texas, we were in a good frame of mind. Both games were indicative of where the team was at at that particular time. They came a long way.

And LSU? Did you really just mention them? Look, there goes another pick-6 for Jarrett Lee.

My sentiments exactly.:)

Hopefully our OL won't fuck up twice near the USC goalline like they did last year, costing us a chance at a TD (instead getting a FG) and then actually taking a TD off the board (and then putting us back far enough to cause a missed FG). I also think Pryor won't throw a pick-six. USC won't have a first-round draft pick at QB. Hopefully we won't be as "predictable" as so many opponents have said we are. I like our chances...

If you don't have a standout LT your screwed. Everson Griffen is probably the best player on the team through spring. Barring injury he is going to kill ever tackle he faces this season.

can you do a breakdown of the entire team please? I am particularly interested in knowing how many guys on the second team will be first round draft picks

thanks

Then what's the point of having one if he's just going to get killed anyway? Think about it.
