Who we are

Not really sure where this thread should go. I have been here for a little bit and have not really posted a whole lot. This thread might want to be merged with the "sound off" thread but I thought it would be nice to have pics of who we are. I live in Fort Myers with my soon to be wife and she is a buckeye as well. We met down here but grew up an hour away from each other in Ohio (small world huh?) Here are a few pics from Gamedays here. The others are of my friends from the alumni bar in Naples. Mods move this thread if need be.

Hey everybody..
Well, just wanted to let you know a little bit about me..

I have becom a big Ohio State fan, since the first visit in the states.. I landed in Columbus, and was absolutely chocked by the whole culture.. I live in Denmark, thats why the whole thing was so new to me.. NFL is becoming bigger over here, I just really grew into Loving the BUCKS..

Had to follow last nights blow out on the internet..! :wink:

Well, thats something about me.. Will be turning in here some more..

Hey!

Finally found a legit forum I can sound off about the Bucks. I live in North Carolina and no one around here cares to listen to me about it. I guess you can say I'm not a full bred Buckeye like yall are (as you can see by me saying yall). But let me tell you my story. May seem irrelevant for a little bit but keep reading...you'll get there. In 4th grade I met this kid in class and found out he lived right down the street from me. We started hanging out and we had a lot of fun together. Up until this point I was a born and raised NC State fan and was proud of it. I eventually discovered they were HUGE Ohio State fans and we're alumni. In 2002, my friend informed me the they we're going to the National Championship game of Ohio State vs. Miami...and he had invited me to go. I was full of excitement mainly because I LOVED college football and the oppritunity to go to the National Championship game was once in a lifetime. I did not know much about the Buckeyes but I knew they were a very good team. We spent a few days there and I was blown away by the shear amount of support for OSU there was...and in ARIZONA of all places. My birthday was the day after Christmas and they had given me some OSU gear for my birthday. The day of the game I dawned my OSU gear and looked in the mirror and said "Dam I look good." But I found it kind of weird being in a different uniform other than NCSU's. We arrived at the stadium and I was so excited. What blew me away the most was the fact that two thirds of the stadium were Buckeye fans. It was unbelieveable. I could feel the interest in the Buckeyes surging through me. I think that entire game and the amazing game it was sparked the fuel that ignited my passion for the Bucks. Yall can say all you want that "Your not a true Buckeye" or whatever but I know from seeing the amount of passion I have for this team that I truly do. I was even more lucky for them to take me to the Fiesta Bowl vs. Kansas State and the one vs. Notre Dame. I also went with them to San Antonio for the Alamo Bowl and just recently the 2008 season opener vs. Youngstown State. I have never seen anything like it in my life...the mass amount of force that is held within that stadium. I was lucky enough to visit Ohio with them and see how very nice it is up there. So thats my story...well most of it i think. Hope you enjoyed reading my novel haha.

Glad to hear some approval. Looking forward to expressing my opinions since no one down here seems to listen. Not even my friend listens to me about it. Only his parents do haha.

Haha i know everytime i tell an OSU fan or even just a college football fan about it their like "wow, very lucky." but yeah me and him have been good friends ever since 4th grade. we're seniors now and still live on the same street. we always find crazy shit to do and both of us share a lot of the same interests so thats why we've probably been friends for so long.

What's up. I'm Pat, been lurking these forums ever since the USC game. Graduated from OSU this past June with a degree in Actuarial Science and now I'm at University of Cincinnati getting an MBA. My mom's entire side of the family is from Michigan so I am the lone OSU fan in this family.
