Sound Off !!! - Introduce Yourself

Good Morning Boys and Girls....

I wanted to take the time and introduce myself, I'm Brian Canini, lifelong Buckeye fan, my family is from Ohio,I still have many family members there from Whitehall to Dayton, haven't been back for 12yrs or so.
I'm in Oregon and sometimes feel I'm the only Buckeye fan in the State.....

So here's the deal I've always wanted to see a game at the Shoe, never had the chance until yesterday.
My wife (friggin awesome woman that she is) knows that my bucket list includes a game at home vs the guys up north.
So yesterday she says to me "I cant stand it anymore, we're going to have to make some plans" and hands me an envelope, (she's been telling me I'm going to have the best BDAY ever for a week or so, I turn the big 40) 2 tickets to the Purdue game, plane tix and the whole meal deal. I'll be going to the game w/my Dad and I'm pumped!!
I know it wasn't Michigan but I will do that before I die.

So here's what I'd like to ask if it's not too muck from a newb, I'd like to get to the Stadium early and enjoy the festivities w/ some real friggin fans and have a great time tailgating etc.. I don't know anyone that's going to be at the game and would just like to hook up w/ a few of you guys to enjoy the experience.
I don't know if this board has get togethers before the games but I would like to partake.

Any help is appreciated and I'm glad to become a member of this community.

We are glad to have you on board. There is a Sound off thread where all of the "newbie" introduce themselves. I would not be surprised to see your thread moved there but welcome to the Planet. I am sure you will enjoy yourself.

Brian, welcome to TBDBITL, the best damn board in the land that is, I'm sure some of the folks around here will be joining you and helping make your day. I'll be up for the game, but will probably be limiting my tailgating to a brat and a brew at the Hineygate as I have to make the drive back to Cincinnati by myself.

Cincibuck, your sixties information source

not even whenits late at night, when the lights are off, the curtains are closed and scinemax is on tv?

If you're a guy, then yes, you're alone. If you're a hot chick...then, yeah, sure, you're alone...nobody's watching...

At the stroke of midnight a few minutes ago, I just turned 28.

Which means I have now outlived John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, and Kurt Cobain. All who, ironically, died at the age of 27.

I always considered the day I would turn 28 a milestone, in my youth. Now, here I am, and we just barely beat OU, and BP is melting down. Hehe, at least I'm here to see it, no?

John Lennon, Oct. 9, 1940-Dec. 8, 1980. Age 40.

Sorry, had to point that out. I'll give you Brian Jones, who also died at 27.

Happy Birthday, schwab!
