Sound Off !!! - Introduce Yourself

Been raised a buckeye fan by my dad (OSU Alum 1976). But he moved out of Ohio after graduating and im stuck in PA. cant stand penn state fans...you wont know till you live around them. ive been to at least 1 buckeye game ever since the re-emergance of the bucks as a power (so i contribute their good fortunes to myself).

went to a kickoff classic in the meadowlands (forget the year) and bough a foam finger that i wore for every second of every game.....except michigan. I had a rare saturday morning basketball practice. they lost and i blame myself. the next year i wore it for every game except michigan state. i said they wouldnt need it.....boy was i wrong. i donned it for the eddie george year however and my all time favorite OSU player (and half of the reason im buckeyenation27) won the heisman....youre welcome eddie. The finger is now retired....i dont think it has any more magic left in it. but i do take credit for the 02 NC....my brother and i both said if we won we would do naked snow angels in the 3 feet of snow that covered our football field.....and we did.

probly TMI but i had the same bet on the line for the raiders the same year and called it off......which is why they got killed in the SB.

oh.......and im slightly superstitous

I've been a buckeye fan for the 15 years of my life.
Being a buckeye fan certainly runs in the family. I learned a few years back my grandfather was an offensive lineman who was recruited by woody hayes in the "glory days". Unfortunately, his father kept the letter from him because he needed the help in the potato chip factory he ran based in zanesville. Anyways, my uncle mother and father all went to ohio state and graduated. I live near cleveland now and certainly love watching the buckeyes more than the clowns(browns). Well that's about it.
Go Bucks!

Attended OSU sometime in the middle 90s. Graduated Kent State sometime after that. Studied in Switzerland and did research at the WTO on the rue de Lausanne. Missed the 98 buckeyes season due to that sacrifice. Was recruited by Cooper as a QB but did not get offered so I went to play Patriot League football at 'Gate, but that did not work out because of a bad shoulder and a bad attitude and cheap parents (no schollies out there and no aid for families with some sheckels).

Currently married with dog and house and a financial job working with people that I enjoy.

Hoban/Kent Grad living in the tropics South Florida.

*edit- reason slickman is my moniker is that's because people actually call me that because it rhymes with my name- no not dickman- and I'm friends with a bunch of people who belong in the nuthouse. yeah, I know. takes one to know one.

Guess it's a good time for me to jump in here. I was born and raised in Zanesville, eating lots of Conn's potato chips along the way. I have always been a Buckeye fan, I can remember Pepper Johnson and Keith Byars being my favorites(born in '77). My father graduated from Roseville High and actually played baseball for D'Antonio's father many moons ago.

My family moved to New Hampshire when I was in the 5th grade, but we still visit at least once a year. Hell, I even subscribe to the shitty Times Recorder so that I can have pictures of The Game to keep.

Now I still live in NH, teaching and coaching football. Single by choice, I'm waiting for the hot ones to get their first divorce.(they come with half a house)
