It's a pithy remark, but it is completely false.

It took 18 seasons as a head coach for Smith to have four seasons with a losing record. Dooley has only been a head coach for five years and has already matched it.

Well, I think this hire was brilliant. With this one quick move EVERYBODY has stopped talking about Petrino and his volleyball pal. Sure, they'll lose a couple extra football games. But, it's Arky and they really are used to that anyway. The ugly stuff is behind them and the comedy of John L is on the horizon. Happy Days Are Here Again!
