i know consequences for actions are an amazing concept to you....
if i do an action that endangers somebody else, or causes harm to any person or thing other than me, i will happily accept the consequences.
if i do something that doesn't harm anyone else, then yes, i will have a problem with my life being ruined over it.
you love to talk about how you stayed clean while you were an athlete. in high school, i didn't even drink a single beer or take a puff of anything. i was totally clean, in every way, and in my senior year we won the state championship. i chose to not take any risks because i did not want to endanger our championship aspirations.
i also do not think that i am a better person than jonathan skeete. i feel that if the story i heard is true, then the punishment does not fit the crime. i must be a dumbfuck for thinking this way.
mike doss got high after the 2002 michigan game. what if an undercover cop had caught him? would all you people have been so quick to lambast doss? he didn't get caught, and he's a buckeye legend. skeete gets caught doing something that potentially could have been more of a friendly gesture than anything else, and he's a pariah.
i have no problem with you calling me a dumbfuck through a computer screen, if you will walk up to mike doss and call him a dumbfuck to his face.
i am a dumbfuck because i think that undercover cops in a dormitory is a bad idea. i am a dumbfuck because i feel sympathy for a good, hard-working kid that was well-liked by all of his coaches, who finds himself caught in a sticky situation.
i don't understand the venom you have towards me and others who disagree with you. do you see me calling you names? no, because i happen to respect people's opinions, even if they differ.
the problem with the war on drugs is that it will never be won. instead of learning from history and what occurred during prohibition, we choose to repeat the same mistakes. these undercover stings isn't going to stop people from using. all you can do is educate (i mean educatate and not spread propaganda like those ridiculous anti-drug commercials) teenagers about the dangers of each substance. then, when they turn 18 and become an adult, they are free to make their own choices provided that they don't harm anyone else. what a dumbfuck, radical, and dangerous way of thinking this is! i am so burnt out on all the weed that i smoke twice a month that anything i have to say about any issue should be ignored, because i am a huge dumbfuck.
i am trying to have an intelligent discussion here. it's really hard for me though, because all my brain cells have been fried.
this whole skeete situation has really opened my eyes as to how divided we are as a society. if we are going to make any progress, this gap needs to be bridged, but all this ridiculous name-calling prevents this from happening. this is why i hate democrats and republicans; they let their hate for the other side cloud their vision on any issue.
