Heupel might be a good one. Would prefer he stay away from Meat. He should find his way back to OU someday...Heupel and Elliott are the names on there that concern me the most.

If Lincoln Riley goes NFL, Heupel will definitely be OU's man.Heupel might be a good one. Would prefer he stay away from Meat. He should find his way back to OU someday...
You reversed what you said to agree with me that no one was blaming the 2006 loss on arrogance and entitlement after earlier saying they did. Close enough. Now I know you are just ignorant. I never apologized to your stupid ass. I was trying to be polite. Won't make that mistake again.
Would it shock anyone if the Michigan administration, after fielding like 10 calls asking about Harbaugh's status, hang up and question out loud why people are asking the question? Like, they're oblivious to him even needing to be on the hot seat.Adam Rittenberg was on 97.1 The Fan this afternoon and he's going to have a piece coming out at ESPN.com tomorrow. He says that, according to his sources, Michigan is not planning to fire Harbaugh. I suppose that doesn't rule out a mutual parting of ways which I'd imagine would amount to a face-saving way of telling Jim to get lost. He offered the possibility that some NFL team could come calling but I don't know who'd want him. He also advanced the possibility that they'd just let him finish the last year of his contract as a lame duck coach. I can't imagine how they could willingly damage their recruiting like that.
Anyway, just a heads up. I'm looking forward to reading his article.
Not only that but I am not sure which is worse for their recruiting right now. Not knowing who their coach will be or knowing it will be Harbaugh.A year of letting his contract run out saves the embarrassment of paying him millions to just go away. It invites him to leave early, saving even more money, and gives cover to openly looking for a replacement while he continues to coach. They're going to be in recruiting hell anyway, why not save all the money you can?
Would it really hurt their recruiting that much though? I mean, if I were a recruit, and my two trains of thought were:
"Do I really want to go there knowing that more than likely, Harbaugh's going to be their coach?"
"Do I really want to go there knowing that more than likely, Harbaugh's not going to be their coach?"
I Know which one would be more attractive to me.....
What recruiting do they really have anyway. Some 2 stars from the NE region sprinkled with a 3 star from the Midwest or the south? Hairball's only recruiting wins came when he was able to sign kids' family members and HS coaches. Once that loophole closed you've seen hardly any top tier recruits even consider scUM. And if Donovan Edwards passes up on them, then he's really screwed, because he'd at least offer some hope to that sad sack of RBs he currently has.Would it really hurt their recruiting that much though? The arrogance is starting to wear thin on the football field. And that all time wins record doesn't impress anyone anymore. MI kids are no longer enthralled by the winged helmets. And they're great players might as well have played in black and white when it comes to relevance for current recruits. The beauty of the current situation is that the only recruits they'll get are the ones who will commit to TTUN knowing only that they don't know who their coach will be. And how many kids like that are there, when TTUN has only 1 win against their primary rival in their lifetime, and for many of them it happened when they were in 3rd grade?
I work with a guy who says he doesn't care about football because TTUN didn't beat Ohio State the whole time he was there (he has a Master's degree from there). The Buckeyes have now created an entire generation of TSUN children that have given up. Even Charles Woodson's son told his dad, "I don't wanna watch ***** football anymore".
Their recruiting has already suffered tremendously. Are they really going to make it so that only diehard TTUN fan-boys will go there at a time in history when there are fewer of those than ever? Are the people in charge of hiring (and firing) coaches up there so ambivalent about being Ohio State's bitch that they'll let this happen? ... 6 years after signing a contract with Harbaugh to make him one of the highest paid coaches in the business?
The Buckeyes haven't broken Harbaugh; they've broken the whole damn state.
