Ruhle might be a good hire. So they'll probably end up with Gattis or Hart. For those not inclined to look but still curious, here's the list and link to the actual CBS Sports article. Also might be worth noting that the list is from Dennis Dodd.
Josh Gattis, Michigan offensive coordinator
Matt Rhule, Carolina Panthers coach
Bill O'Brien, Alabama offensive coordinator
Matt Campbell, Iowa State coach
P.J. Fleck, Minnesota coach
Mike Hart, Michigan running backs coach

Matt Rhule seems to be a relatively realistic and possibly decent option that people are speculating about.Gattis will probably be the guy if I had to bet. I'm not sure how much credit i'd give him for this season though, that offense screamed being Harbaugh controlled. The "speed in space" myth remains so. A guy who is still a rather unproven offensive coordinator at Head Coach has disaster written all over it.
They can hire whoever the hell they want; until the institutional arrogance and general attitude of entitlement that pervades that entire school is flushed/aged out, a 2021 season once every 10-15 years surrounded by a bunch of 8-5/9-4 remains their ceiling.Matt Rhule seems to be a relatively realistic and possibly decent option that people are speculating about.
NFL brass is dumb. They see a shiny overall record in SF, but ignore that his last season was a debacle that saw his players quit on him and that he left them in shambles.I just don’t know what Jim Harbaugh offers a pro football franchise in the year 2022.
