SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

I just don’t know what Jim Harbaugh offers a pro football franchise in the year 2022.

NFL brass is dumb. They see a shiny overall record in SF, but ignore that his last season was a debacle that saw his players quit on him and that he left them in shambles.

I think we’d all agree … sign him to a 4 year deal… fire him after year 3 hire someone to finish the job? He was not a bad coach those first couple of years in SF unless it was all Greg Roman and/or whoever the DC was

I've said it before - if the roster has some talent that has underachieved, he'll whip them into shape fast and probably get the most out of them. Roman was a big part of his success, but I'd say Vic Fangio (DC) was bigger. Fangio just so happens to be unemployed at the moment. Now, that fast success isn't without shortcomings. He struggled with his rivals in the NFL, too...namely Seattle while in SF. He won his first 3 against the Seahawks when Seattle was stuggling, but lost 5 of his last 6 including multiple games that weren't even competitive. He pees down his leg in big games...see the 2011 & 2013 NFCCGs and the SuperBowl against little brother John. He will wear everyone around him out within a few years...but your first sentence covers that.

I think he'd probably do okay again in the NFL. Minnesota has some talent. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get them back to the playoffs pretty fast. But, yeah; that window to achieve is a short one.

Of course, all of that fast success in SF was now 11 years ago. Simple Jim seems to have mellowed a bit in the time since...I don't know if he has that same manic energy he did back then, so he could be a drooling retard and fall on his face.

He supposedly was back to his old self this year so if he isn't aparently just brutally cut his salary until he is

Jim Harbaugh news: Michigan football coach will take Minnesota Vikings job if offered

Michigan head football coach Jim Harbaugh is set for his second interview with the Minnesota Vikings Wednesday, which also happens to be National Signing Day. This interview will be in-person, unlike the first one which was virtual. How serious he is about potentially heading back to the NFL ultimately remains to be seen, but The Michigan Insider's Sam Webb reported Monday evening on Twitter that there is a consensus expectation. In a tweet, Webb wrote, "if the Vikings offer, he's gone."

Why would a school like scUM even want to keep a coach that really doesn't want to be there?

If you were Minnesota, would you really trust someone who is damaging his alma mater and current employer in this way? Could you ever trust someone who does this? I turn thumbs down.
