Funny you mention this. Kiddo 1 said something about Barbie and Fields having motivation to not leave this year because of the Jets. Add in Hairball? They're both back in school for '21.

For sure. I’m not saying that either of them would skip the chance, but the Jets and Hairball? I might do the math on the expected net present value of QBs under that coach relative to NPV of another year in school and some other coach.

I’d go all Elway/Manning on them and have my agent tell them they have two options. Neither of which results in me playing for the Jets/Hairball.

I feel the same way. They want to avoid, at all costs, the optics of giving SimpLLLLLLe Jim an extension and then having his team go out and lose by 80 or having to go out and give him the extension the week after losing by 80.

I think it depends on the school. Texas? Yes. Ohio State? No. We've gone out of our way to build our AD fundraising on a sea of Buckeye Club memberships rather than the Texas whale model. In fact, the AD received its first ever 8 figure donation a year or two ago, and that barely made it at exactly 10M. Yes, we have some powerful donors who have a voice, but their money isn't such a huge portion of our AD fundraising that they have THE voice at the table. I don't think Urban would have been suspended if they did.

As for tusn, I have no idea how powerful their major boosters are. It would be interesting to find out and what side of the Harbaugh coin they're coming down on.
