I love the guy who says a long NFL career is a mark of intelligence. Dexter Manley say, "hi."

Well to be fair, you can have intelligence but conditions never conspired to allow you to be literate. Intelligence and education are two separate things.

But if they’re a QB...oh wait, Terry Bradshaw says hi too

To be fair, don't confuse a southern accent and "aww shucks" persona on tv with being stupid. He's had a pretty successful career overall.

Vince Young was in the league for 5-6 years...

I got nothin'

Watched on YouTube. It was as expected and 4:32 in length.if that was all of it and not an edited version, hf.

Had some friends over yesterday for football, chili, cards and drink. Everyone brought their own chili recipe. Was a nice day and evening of food and football. We were playing cards while the tsun game ended and we flipped over to the BTN final drive. When they mentioned Hairball's presser coming up I said, "Get ready to watch a broken man. He's either completely broken and is giving up... or he's been heavily medicated for the last two and a half years. You're in for five minutes of meaningless gibberish."

Our friends who were still over at that time (Indiana alum FWIW) all laughed and thought that it was just my typical tsun rhetoric. My wife included in that thought. Then they watched the presser...

While primarily basketball fans (Indiana, right? What else are they going to be?), they are pretty knowledgeable sports people. Both husband and wife were speechless immediately afterwards. She commented that he spent five minutes talking without saying anything of value or pointing to a meaningful change in strategy or direction and how 'disappointed' they must be in AA. Ultimately, they were pretty shocked that he's still employed, let alone as one of the highest paid coaches in college. My wife, a much kinder individual than I could ever hope to be, has zero concept of stepping on the throat mentality. She just felt sorry for him as a person.

So, yes. "HF" captures it well.

Until they ALL quit the fucking sport...

I still haven’t seen his post game presser. I know exactly how it went, but still want to see it.

  • Harbaugh said Michigan was “thoroughly beaten” in every phase and they didn’t do anything well. Didn’t play good or coach good. “Not in a good place with execution, adjusting, what we’re doing schematically. Not in a good place as a football team right now and that falls on me.”
  • Said Wisconsin had extra blockers on perimeter and that Michigan was unable to set an edge all night. “There are things we were not containing.”
  • On why team looks worse each week: “Every part is not close to where it should be.” Reiterates that all things “thoroughly” are not where they need to be. “It starts with me and starts with our coaches.” Says if somebody is not executing, they have to find out why that is. “There’s nothing right now to say that an acceptable job is being done, players or coaches.” Says they will look for schematics, what is being done and who is doing it to identify the issues.
  • On the QB situation and Cade McNamara’s standing, Harbaugh says they will evaluate everything that is being done.
  • “All areas have underperformed” since the opening week of the season. Reiterated that it is on him and his responsibility.
  • Harbaugh says they will go back to work on Monday and looking to fix things and find solutions in order to make sure this does not continue to spiral out of control.
  • Asked about Joe Milton’s interceptions, Harbaugh says they will have to watch the film to identify what went wrong. First one he was rolling out, but contested catch. Second pick was throwing right to a Wisconsin defender despite not having a lane to throw.
  • Again, “everything that we do” is being looked at. Every meeting, practice, etc. will be to aid that improvement. All areas require improvement.
  • Asked to self-evaluate: Harbaugh says that the coaching of players and making them understand what to do needs to improve so they can go for it. “There seems to be hesitation and some confusion. Lack of communication on both sides of the ball.”
  • On how to keep players bought in or to get them to buy back in: “Have to identify the players who have pride and want to fight like hell for Michigan.”

Oh yeah, put that tinfoil shit right into my veins.

I can imagine that Harbaugh, when full of righteous indignation, is not the most politic person and this spilled over into the 2016 OSU game. It’s this, perhaps more than anything else, that was the flying rock into Coach’s existential windshield. IMO, that game was 100% rigged and the rigging was 100% Delaney’s “fuck you!” to Coach Harbaugh.
