SimPLLLLLLLe Jim "6-13" Harbaugh (B1G Suspenders McKhakiPants, Cheater Cheater Booger Eater)

I thought election season was rough on Facebook. I have people posting about that damned spot like they were arguing religion.

My favorite one so far:

They advanced the replay forward a few frames and called THAT his forward progress.

scUM's fanbase is quickly approaching The Cult in terms of tinfoil consumption for hat making purposes.

I know theres no way this kind of simple logic could ever resonate in Harbaughs head. But one would think that constantly crying about and ripping on officials would make them less likely to give you those close calls that coud go either way.
When I was coaching tournament softball for my Daughter's team, I thought the same thing. Umps made bad calls, for sure, and I would not just sit there when they happened. But, you can "complain" tastefully. Umps/Refs are willing, for the most part, to entertain that the made a mistake. But, why - as LJB notes may be the case - give the official a reason to maybe not see the black of the plate quite right on a close 3-2 pitch or see the ball 2 inches this way or that on a 4th down spot.

I really wish someone could find a clip of the play that Speight completed a pass for a first down.. deep in their own territiory
and what I feel is a very obvious hold by their RB.. a sack there or a holding call keeping them deeper in their own endzone...
and this game doesn't go to OT

3rd and 6 at 2:20 before half our blitzer was clearly held, no call - first down, they score the TD before half

That and they can't tell the difference between a football and an elbow going by that pic.

FWIW...

If any errors in reasoning/perception are noted, please do speak up.

It worked better when I could enlarge the image, but anyway, unless J. T. has suddenly tucked the ball between his butt cheeks, I don't see how it isn't across the plane.

Here, just for the heck of it:
