The businesses in my town all have unique names.

BTW...I added you as a friend and wanted to invite you to a region but the server crashes. Oh well, I figured this type of stuff would happen. EA never learns, or should I say doesn't care.

Just wait until you start to max out your city and traffic goes all to hell. Police and fire can't get to anything and then your citizens get all ticked off. They need to fix that. Everyone is complaining about it. The only thing anyone has figured out is to build almost all avenues and have as few intersections as possible. Mass transit doesn't seem to do that much. I got to about 100,000 population and then the city began to burn and of course at the same time an earthquake hit which took out my city hall along with all attached buildings (which cost money to rebuild). That sucked and my pop is back down to around 80,000.

Anyway, what is your Origin name? I can invite you to the region I have on NA#2. I need to sell my oil to some people.

Cool, things should be a little easier for you since you can take advantage of the stuff my town built (like oil, trash pickup, and a bunch of other stuff you can just buy without having to build the buildings for those services).

Well, I killed my city. My groundwater is polluted, and for some reason the water pumps cannot filtrate the water. So all my drinking water is polluted and my entire town is sick. I have no idea how the water filtration is supposed to work. It says I am pumping clean water but my map says the overall water is dirty. I am at a loss here. My town is doomed. Got up to 170,000 population and everything was going great, and then bam, ruined.

Thanks again for posting your experiences in this thread - I'm intrigued and hope to make the plunge once a true Mac version is out (don't run nor want to run bootcamp).

Turned out to be complete stupidity. I had an old water tower I forgot to destroy and it was polluting the entire water supply. As soon as I demolished it my water went instantly to clean. Sonofa!

Hopefully the Mac version is out soon and you can join us.

Are you serious?! I have a polluted water supply (when I FIRST started my city, I put sewage in a corner before I realized that is where my water table s decent...) I have changed the sewage locale and I have the clean filter deal, but my water is still dirty.... makes me wonder if I have an old water tower sitting somewhere...
