It would’ve been nice for there ever to be a “then”, it’s always been “now”Unfortunately the money has now become more important than the quality of education that the "student"- athletic gets.

The schools have so over inflated the price of the education that everyone has to reconsider the ROI of a college degree now.Unfortunately the money has now become more important than the quality of education that the "student"- athletic gets.

Agreed, and I think everyone agrees. But no one knows who will step up and be the grown up.The way NIL is going is not sustainable. Players holding out from the playoffs to get more money? Destroying the sport. There has to be some sort of contracts or something. Good Lord!
Well, it better be someone, because this is on a collision course with a brick wall.Agreed, and I think everyone agrees. But no one knows who will step up and be the grown up.

Agree 1000% on this. Congress and SCOTUS want no parts of this mess. And then the next question is, when does employee status and a CBA begin? Because I see the cluster F continuing, at least I guess until the scenario of the SEC/B1G football league startsThat's the wrong question though. The NCAA has tried to step up, the B1G and SEC are going to try too. They will fail because it's unenforceable until there is employee status and a collectively bargained agreement.
Until then, you are colluding to impede the rights of a tax paying US Citizen to earn a living. The SCOTUS has a very clear stance on that and it's no bueno for people who want to make up rules that said citizens don't get to have a say in.
I'm not a lawyer but I don't think you need to be to follow the bouncing ball on this one.
I’d say it’s going to take this effort by the B1G/SEC that seems like it’s bringing some order to get promptly challenged in court before the power brokers throw in the towel and accept what has to come.Agree 1000% on this.
