Should semipro/college players be paid, or allowed to sell their stuff? (NIL and Revenue Sharing)

I saw this thread and it got me thinking, when was the last time an athlete has been academically ineligible? My feelings on this topic have evolved over the years. I used to be in the "they're getting a college education" camp but the truth is most aren't, they're being used b y the schools to make big bucks. If they're going to be required to attend school for two years before entering the draft they sure as hell should be able to make some money while they're waiting.

There was rumors that was what was holding up
GAOTEOTE from USC. But honestly other than not going to class cause of the draft I can't think of it.
