Should semipro/college players be paid, or allowed to sell their stuff? (NIL and Revenue Sharing)

According to Stewart Mandel of The Athletic, a class of 2023 five-star prospect has signed a multi-million NIL deal and is thought to be the largest deal ever for a non-professional athlete. The name of the recruit was not named, keeping his identity secret from the public.

In comes an #NIL collective tied to Tennessee with a 7-figure offer but claims it’s not an inducement.

Yeah, and.........

Did NIL play a factor in the Aggies' 2022 class? Despite Texas A&M football HC Jimbo Fisher's clarification on their $30M "Sliced Bead" fund, “It didn’t affect recruiting at all. I’ll say this, and I’ll address it in my press conference,” Fisher told 247Sports’ Josh Pate.

What a bunch of bullshit.....If it doesn't effect recruiting, they why are schools (including Ohio State) doing it?

That’s why I try to always call them by their helmet insignia, aTm, indicating a place to get cash.

That's awesome. I can't believe I've never noticed that. It's true when they say that sometimes the greatest things are just too obvious and in the forefront.

I've been referring to them as Texas 8 & 4

Since they perennially go 8 & 4 no matter how much $$$ they put into the program. Also, after they pulled out of the Gator Bowl earlier this year, I've also used Texas 8 & 4feit as well.

But the aTm observation is gold. The Aggie jokes really do write themselves.
