Good to see the Army is teaching proper weapon handling skills.

That white guy in the pic is scared! :(

I don't normally get to worked up about recruiting but somehow losing this big fella is disappointing. I had visions of Floyd and Hankins stopping everything in their path. We just don't see too many fellas like Floyd in our recruiting path, so this was pleasant to watch (until the ending anyway).

I guess I need to read some of LJB's write-ups on "the ones we missed on" to remind me of how little this means in the grand scheme of things.

Good luck Sharrif, I really think you'd have looked good in S&G.

I wonder if the RUMOR that Florida's defensive line coach, Dan McCarney as the front runner for the top job at USF will help change Sharrif's mind.

If all this defensive talent went to UF despite their previous staffing losses and the Urban Meyer drama, I doubt losing the DL coach would change his mind either.

I tend to agree with this. If Sharrif chose UF after everything that has gone on over with Meyer, then he probably has chosen his final destination.

Sharrif, by all acounts, is a great kid, so I wish him well there. However, Florida has recruited A LOT of talent across the defensive line recently in their last few classes. I am going to assume not all of them receive the playing they thought they would when they went to Florida. I hope Sharrif doesn't get caught up in a numbers game. I would expect some attrition at some point...

I couldn't agree more with that statement. UF is starting to look a lot like USC from a couple years ago where every position is so crowded that it starts to hurt the morale of the team. The challenge for the Meyer and company going forward will be how to keep everyone happy. It's a great problem to have but one that can cause major locker issues.

Some day somebody's gonna make you want to
Turn around and say goodbye
Until then baby are you going to let them
Hold you down and make you cry
Don't you know?
Don't you know things can change
Things'll go your way
If you hold on for one more day
Can you hold on for one more day
Things'll go your way
Hold on for one more day

From what I know of Florida football, a few of those stud DL recruits the past few years have transferred (Torrey Davis, John Brown), and quite a few of the others will be seniors next year (Sanders, Antwine, Marsh). So aside from Omar Hunter, who has somewhat underperformed and Gary Brown who will be a RFr, Floyd doesn't have too many guys keeping him from seeing the rotation soon.
