Shane "LLLL" Morris (Former ttun Backup QB, transfer to Central _ichigan)

It wouldn't surprise me if he's the first one off the bench if UM is up big in the first game. To me, redshirts are almost a waste on possible impact players that could use the in game experience.

No way. Hoke will do whatever he can to keep him from burning that redshirt. He needs to work on quite a few things and with Gardner getting another year that will allow Morris to apprentice as the backup next year. Speight will be the insurance policy for Morris should he either flame out or get injured.

EDIT: I will say if there's ever a legitimate QB controversy between Morris and Speight that would be legendary comedy. I doubt it though. One thing Morris already does well is put the ball in the air and let the wide receiver make a play (the arm punt so to speak). With Drake Harris and, later, the kid from Florida, coming in, he'll have the wideouts he needs to be successful. But if he has to hold onto the ball and face pressure, he'll shrink like male genitalia in ice water.

Most players should just delete their accounts. That being said, Shane Morris is special. As it's been said before the kid is a goldmine, he needs to be able to express himself on the national stage.

Do you think he will beat out Johnny Football for comedy value?

Of course I do. Johnny isn't funny. The only thing I find funny about him is that he is a Longhorn stuck in an Aggie uniform. (Note to self) should print shirts that say Johnny Wannabe with longhorn logo.

Shane on the other hand is a goofy lil fuck that is a TRUE BELIEVER. He really believes that scUM is the most important thing to ever happen on the planet earth. He made a comment before he ever got on campus that they should never lose to us while he's there. He's the leader of an AA moped gang. The competition for laughs isn't even close between the two.

He won't improve sitting on the sidelines. I'm not a fan of redshirting, unless it's medical, or if it's an offensive lineman that still needs to grow into his body

Why wouldn't he improve? Being on the sideline is a good way to absorb the playbook, learn from Gardner's mistakes, all while avoiding injury. I don't give a shit either way but unless he's the other kind of "special", there are a ton of ways to improve greatly while redshirting

It would not surprise me if Gardner enters the draft after this season. I think he is going to have a solid year and could possibly strike while the iron is hot. If that happens, I'd rather have someone starting next year that has game experience who's name is not Russel Bellomy.

But hey, I'm just an armchair quaterback on a computer. So who the hell knows.

I get that. I'm just saying if he has the talent and he's not literally mentally disabled, he'll get better without playing. If you think he's a three year then NFL talent, which I do not, then yeah, play him. If you think, like I do, that he's there til graduation, then you have quite a bit to gain by redshirting.
