Shaggy Texas - Shaggy Bevo, Thujone, MS Pain, Butt Hurt, and BBQ (RIP)

And how is it that UT operates 16 fewer varsity sports than us (36 to 20) while taking in $20M more in revenue, yet their AD is actually losing fucking money while we're turning a $30M profit. There is either a shocking amount of fraud or a grotesque level of incompetence going on there..........or both.

Everything is bigger in Texas, including the incompetence and/or corruption?

As I've said before; they look great on paper but would be an absolute cancer in the Big Ten. They would barely get their feet in the door before setting out to undo everything that has been built up over the previous century. Let the PAC or SEC! deal with their pathological narcissism. We neither need it nor can afford it.

Now, I don't want OU under any circumstances, but I am heartened to see Boren clearly chomping at the bit to get out. Okie has stood by them every step of the way, but clearly--and in the words of Popeye The Sailor--they've had all they can takes; they can't takes no more." I'll call my money shot right now. Oklahoma will play the 2017 season in the SEC! It'll be announced this coming Winter.

Yup.

I was fully on board for doing what we had to do to get Texas into the B1G several years ago...

Now....fuck them. As I learned more about them, and interacted with them on TexasBevo, or whatever they call themselves now, it just isn't worth it. Belt buckles and ten gallon hats. The cultural divide is just too great in my imo.

I went to the 2005 TOSU/Texas game. I didn't see one instance of Belt Buckle fans getting abused. Those pussies still cry about that trip to Columbus. What I saw was loud mouthed assholes walking through the streets of Columbus trying to pick a fight with everyone they met. Should have figured it out back then, but I know there is a segment of Buckeye fans that are assholes too. But I didn't see any of what those pussies said happened. Obviously, I wasn't everywhere, but at this point, I don't think any of it happened. I think they weren't treated with the appropriate amount of reverence and awe they think they are entitled to, and have cried for the next ten years about it.

First Colorado left, and we didn't care because we knew they had wanted to be in the PAC for years.

Then Nebraska left, and we didn't care because we knew they were just bitter about losing to us.

Then aggy left, and we didn't care because we knew they were just jealous of us and they weren't our real rival anyways.

Then Mizzou left, and we didn't care because they were irrelevant.

Then Oklahoma left, and we didn't care because they were irrelevant....were bitter about losing to us......weren't our real rivals.....had wanted to be in the SEC! for years

Oh, shit. Maybe it is US and not THEM.

The morons on Texaggy have a unique theory: that Vince Young blackmailed UT into giving him that six figure casino greeter job. Now, I don't believe that for one moment simply because Vince Young doesn't come close to being smart enough to devise, much less pull off, that play. It does, however, bring up an interesting side theory. Given the UNC scandal and the recent exposure of their own shady handling of academically sub-par football and basketball players, did somebody in the UT administration decide to bail out VY's broke ass before he decided to sell his story to the media?

And I understand I'm only talking about the football side of things here. I shouldn't. The B1G conference is not just an athletic conference. Its also an academic affiliation that is more important than any sport. AggyBevo only talks about conferences in terms of athletics. That is the greatest cultural divide in my imo.

And to be honest @ORD_Buckeye, I don't know why you stay over there. I couldn't deal with the arrogant stupidity anymore. Thujone is a national treasure, but aside from that, there is really no redeeming qualities on that website other than the meltdowns when Wooo Pig Soooie holds them to 40 whatever yards in a bowl game...

Not entirely true. A lot of them understand and appreciate the CIC. They just don't think they'd really need it. I've seen several mentions of UM as "the Texas of the North." In any event, their joining the Big Ten would be all about what they could take from it, with ZERO consideration of what they would need to bring to it. They're Texas, and they swing the big dick, and we would just be lucky to breathe the same air as them.

What's really pathetic is that they truly should be the best public university in the country with that oil endowment yet are somewhere between 10th and 15th depending on what survey one chooses. It's similar to the athletic revenue. Where the fuck does it go because it's clearly not buying a commensurate amount of quality on the ground?

Yeah, its the 'cooperation' part that really 'sticks in their craw'...to use a parlance of our time.

And its sad in a strictly football discussion. Would love to see both Oklahoma and Texas with Nebraska in the B1G West on Saturday afternoons. But unless a lot of things change, don't want anything to do with that...

As long as they are carrying that LHN albatross around their neck, I don't think we have to worry about them showing up on our doorstep. They can't fold it into the BTN given the FOX-ESPN dynamics, not that they would ever voluntarily give it and the $15M/year up for the stability of their new conference. And if the Big Ten were to allow them to keep it, then you might as well stick a fork in the Big Ten because it will have sacrificed every principle it was built upon over the last century to suck Texas' cock.

I'm almost certain that Okie is looking to bail on them and is just figuring out how to deal with the GOR and whether the SEC! would cut a deal like we did with Maryland. That thought is probably weighing as much in Boren's desire to get into the Big Ten as the academics/CIC argument. Add to that Okie might take Okie Lite with them, and the Big Ten might (slim chance in my mind) take Kansas. SEC is the only alternative that would be palatable to ESPN and compatible with their desire to rid themselves of the LHN, which is costing them millions of dollars per year. Not sure how that might all play out. I honestly think UT keeps cobbling the B12 back together with more and more mid-majors so long as they get to call the shots and keep their LHN or give the independent route a shot. Anyone honestly think Boise or the Juggalos are going to have the nads to stand up to UT? Both of their inept Presidents would go down on Texas like a couple of coke-addled porn sluts for the chance to be part of B12 3.0.

How fucking hilarious would it be if the Red River Shootout became Okie-Aggy in an SEC conference game.

Don't want the SECSECSEC to add Oklahoma (as a college football fan), but if it happened, I would lol and lol some more at the Big12 minus 2.

I only know what I read and Okie I'm a man I'm 40 seems to be tied to the hip of Oklahoma. Don't know if that's the case, really, if Okie State could get a golden parachute from the PAC or ACC (don't even know if what I'm saying here is plausible).

The last bit of realignment is gonna be OMG really? or it doesn't happen at all in my imo, and we stay where we are...
