Shaggy Texas - Shaggy Bevo, Thujone, MS Pain, Butt Hurt, and BBQ (RIP)

Why does everyone sound surprised? The typical workday for attorneys looks something like:

10:35 Get to courtroom 5 minutes late, stand while new client pleads not guilty.
10:50 Call office to make sure para-legals have tomorrow's case prepared.
11:00 Tee time for 18 holes with judge on tomorrow's case.
3:05 Buy rounds of scotch in club house.
3:10 Orally service judge.

You forgot:
4:30 sex with paralegal
5:30 "high power" meeting with clients at local bar

I've never been to the Great Lakes, the NE, or the West Coast, so I can't comment on those areas.

But i have been in every state of the confederacy except Arkansas (because who the fuck wants to go to Arkansas?).

Texas may as well be another Country compared to Mississippi and Alabama.

I work with a black guy in his late 50's or so who grew up in rural Mississippi.
the guy is still absolutely terrified of white people in large groups.

Some of the things he's seen/experienced out there shook him to his core and still lingers with him.

This guy calls me Mr. and sir (despite me constantly reminding him it isn't necessary especially since he's the same age as my dad).
He also asks permission every single time he has to go to bathroom.
He sits on the floor in the warehouse to eat lunch rather than in the kitchen with everyone else.

I would like to remind everyone again that Thujone is an attorney.

Attorney.

He went to attorneying school and someone pays him to practice law.

To be fair, no one claimed he was a good attorney.

Pumpkin, I must be doing this attorneying shit all wrong. Although the 3:10 is interesting. I don't ever go to court for my job, but recently got out of a horseshit parking ticket by taking it past the dipshit magistrate to a hearing in front of a genuine judge . . . and she was actually hot, even in the black robe. Were I not married I'd have happily serviced her in whatever manner she preferred.
