As long as it's tender and doesn't have a ton of fat, if you put it in front of me I'll eat it and probably like it.

Any form of BBQ, made with good ingredients and properly executed is excellent. [Mark May]tily executed BBQ isn't. It's like the supposed debate over NY vs. Chicago pizza: The correct answer is yes please and it just depends whether you want a snack or a meal.

Oh, there are correct answers. Just like with pizza. Do you actually want to taste it all? Or would you like a loaf of bread with some toppings on it which you can't really taste due to the absurd amount of dough?

Agreed with the BBQ comment. But I love reading shaggy so I am not making fun of it. I find it to be hilarious. Are UT people there a bit arrogant? Sure. But that is what happens for the home school on any board. Happens on PSU boards, happens on Michigan boards, and happens even here. You always just have to take comments w a grain of salt when you are on a board where 90% of posters root for a school.

I got booed out of SB for suggesting that Charlie was on the hot seat THIS year. If he loses to ND, Okie, Baylor and TCU, a very real possibility, he will be gone. 3 years or no, huge buyout or no, black coach or no, cleaning up the mess left him by Mack or no, Texas, like ND isn't a place that has the patience to wait for results and has the revenue, the facilities and the alum base to say addios to someone who can't turn things around in two years.

Agree with this. Though my belief in NC BBQ superiority is genuine and sincere, I did drop those poisoned worms in the full knowledge that this thread was being monitored by the stupider, Texas Big Swinging Dick/40yo Virgin element of the shag and would undoubtedly be brought back to the nest, hastening my banishment by a month or two.

Cartoon Dicks and the delusions of Tejas fans thinking that they're just around the corner from being a perennial top five program; that's what we need to get back to.

For the Shaggy spies, I will say: Texas and Michigan are remarkably similar in one area- the deep rooted arrogance which permeates the entire institution from professors down to the recruiting pitch in a recruit's living room will seemingly always be an albatross around each program's neck which will never allow them to break through 1.) undercutting their coaches from within and 2.) creating a country club atmosphere with their players.

Only three things can keep Strong from getting at least three years, and I believe that all are extremely unlikely:

1. A major off the field fuck up by him (i.e. domestic abuse) or cover up of major criminal or academic misconduct fuck ups by others in the program;

2. A truly disastrous on field performance (I'm talking something like 2-10 or worse)

3. A personality conflict with Patterson combined with pressure on Patterson that results in a Patterson cover my ass firing. Since Patterson hired him, I don't see this happening, and I think that the President might well intervene if Patterson tried to make it happen.

RE:#3 Patterson already has one foot out the door (not of his own choosing), don't underestimate him getting fired first and the whole "I want to bring in my own guy thing", also Patterson might be willing to fire anyone if he gets to keep his job.

That's a fair point. Strong's pretty well-respected though, and rightfully so IMO, and I don't see a new guy doing the "I want my own guy" thing w/o pretty good cause (see my points 1 and 2)

Yeah i don't think patterson will be allowed to fire anyone and make another hire. Would have been like if tsun had fired hoke and let pizza man pick the next guy. I think Stong gets 4 or 5 years unless they start missing bowls entirely.
