OHSportsFan9;1022129; said:I was going to check out Offutt, along with quite a few of the other top players in the state tomorrow. Hinkle Fieldhouse is holding a Coca-Cola/Circle City Classic basketball game featuring 12 top teams from the state (5 boys games, 1 girls game).
However, last night Offutt suffered a knee injury early and was scheduled to be examined today. Not sure his status for the game tomorrow.
I will however get a chance to see DeShaun Thomas as his Ft. Wayne Leurs team is playing. Stephen Van Tresse will be there also. Memphis-bound Angel Garcia and his East Chicago team are playing Warren Central and Walter Offutt. A handful of other Rivals top 150 players will be in action too. Should be a great day of basketball at (in my opinion) one of the best basketball facility's around. I'll mostly likely check back on Sunday, as I'll be at Hinkle all day (last game tips off around 9) and will be exhausted when I get back Saturday.
ps- I'll most likely be sporting some OSU gear in support of Offutt...and Thomas ()
10 min drive + $12 tickets for 6 games is well worth it for meWell hopefully Offut recovers...Hopefully it is not a re injure of the same knee and doesn't become a problem...
I was thinking about going to the event, but thought the whole 3 hour drive vs. the 25 minute drive to go see Mullens...
I am glad I didn't decide to go as it would of been a disappointment to drive that far and not get to see Offut...

I'm doubtful Offutt sees the court tomorrow. Knees are nothing to mess around with, especially this early into the season and the rest of his career.
I will get to see Van Tresse and Deshaun Thomas, plus a few other D-1 players on many of the state's best teams.

Warren Central High School basketball star Walter Offutt is out for the season after suffering a severe knee injury Thursday night.
The 6-3 Offutt, an Ohio State signee who is rated as one of the nation's top 100 seniors by rivals .com, tore ligaments in his left knee during a 70-51 victory over Fishers.
This is the second time he has torn knee ligaments, although his previous injury in June 2005 was to his right knee. This injury was diagnosed Friday afternoon.
