I'm pretty certain he's already signed, sealed, and delivered.

I believe the point was that coaches shouldn't ignore current commits, lest they decide to look elsewhere, ala Keith Wells.

All-Americans
With the basketball season nearing the end, can you name the top 12 seniors from the East and West coasts, that have distinguished themselves as end of year All-American candidates. Who can we expect to see in the McDonald's All-American game??? Thanks!

? Justin from Indianapolis

I'm not going to try and divide prospects geographically since it is not executed as an exact science by the McDonald's people, but here is a list of the players I expect to be in the game:

Greg Monroe, Demar DeRozan, Jrue Holiday, B.J. Mullens, Tyreke Evans, Samardo Samuels, Brandon Jennings, Al-Farouq Aminu, Elliot Williams, William Buford, Ed Davis, Tyler Zeller, Jamychal Green and Luke Babbitt.

How are you liking Libbey's tournament draw cbf40? Looks like VW or Bath may see them in the district semi's? Or Celina or Wapak, I guess...

This could possibly force me into my first VW game in several years...

Libbey will run thru that district no problem...I wish I could go, but being in Columbus, the drive up to BG is a lil much for me...

I do think Libbey will make it to regionals, but I don't know enough about hte regional teams to know if they will make it to state...

Either way it is going to take a talented team to match up with Buford and Libbey...

The WBL hasn't seen anyone like Buford and they have no hope in beating them...

That's exactly what I was hearing from my bro-in-law. He coached against Buford this past summer, and the word he used to describe this pending Libbey-WBL matchup is "punished". As in, whoever runs into Libbey will be punished. :)

Hot-shooting Libbey tops Waite
Buford, Wells pace Cowboys

By STEVE JUNGA
BLADE SPORTS WRITER

The City League basketball showdown last night between Libbey's Cowboys and the visiting Waite Indians promised to be a shootout between two up-tempo teams.

The Cowboys proved to be much better shooters in rolling to an easy 83-51 victory before a crowd of 2,000.

Defending CL champion Libbey (14-2, 9-1), Ohio's fourth-ranked Division II team, closed the first quarter with a 20-7 run and never looked back.

The first-place Cowboys were paced by 19 points from William Buford, and 18 points and 11 rebounds from Julius Wells. Brad Sandridge and Brad Burton added 14 and 11 points, respectively, as Libbey's senior contingent went out in style in the final game in their home gym.

The only way that Libbey would get beat by a team in the WBL would be if Butler's brother and Shawnee gave them a good game and Libbey got into foul trouble, because they are not very deep, but even with that I don't see it happening...
