Especially if the Gators land one of the other targets still out there like OL Seantrel Henderson of St. Paul, Minn. He’s going to either Florida or Ohio State. And we all know how those Florida-Ohio State battles turn out.

If the Gators land Henderson, the class will go down as one of the best classes ever put together on signing day.

Then there is Lake Howell's Jones, Baltimore WR Adrian Coxson, Tampa Catholic OL Chaz Green and Ohio LB Jordan Hicks.

"Any combination of one or two of those guys with Seantrel and you're talking about one of the best recruiting classes ever," McLaughlin said. "Seantrel is the best offensive lineman coming out of high school in like forever. We'e talking about a 6-foot-8, 300-pounder who runs like a tight end. And the Gators have a good chance."

Whispers: Who has the edge for top prospects?
January 27, 2010
Mike Farrell

...
OL Seantrel Henderson - The nation's top offensive lineman has narrowed his choices to Ohio State, USC, Notre Dame, Florida and Miami. The Buckeyes hold the edge here, and Notre Dame is emerging as a sleeper. Miami gets the final visit, but it would surprise many if he ended up anyplace but the Midwest.

Hmmm...

Any chance we can suspend the no profanity rule for a few minutes so I can get a few things off my chest?

Yeah, I'm not sure what possesses a member of the media to actually print that... If you think it, fine, but to print it just seems a little unprofessional...
He's playing to his audience, and yes I would like to pee in his coffee, but he'll likely get the response he is seeking.

I think we get the big man, but signing day can't get here to soon.

Since when in the last 10-15 years did any corallation between the media and professionalism legitimately exist. Just another reporter running his mouth.

No worries...it comes from the same camp that said OSU was misusing Pryor and didn't have a prayer of keeping up with Oregon in the Rose Bowl....

:oh:

Does he mean for the gators? I seem to remember usc signing a few classes that would rival most any as of late.

I took it to mean out of any class, ever. Hard to take someone seriously when they refer to themselves as "The Prospector".

This man begs to differ ...
