Script Ohio (official thread)

Third, the fact that you're losing to Nebraska in an online poll should only be surprising if you don't know that we typically win these kinds of things. I can't quote numbers and I can't quote specific polls, but our record in online polls is very good. If you guys come back and win it'll be a worthy win. I don't know why Husker fans typically dominate these polls, we just do.

A few things:

First, most Husker fans, and likely most casual fans around college football, don't know about Script Ohio outside of the Big Ten. This isn't uncommon, and frankly I'd bet most casual fans don't even know what "Touchdown Jesus" is. Most fans, in my experience, are uninformed about anything not directly related to their own team, and even about their own team their knowledge is often spotty.

Even over here in Hawaii, I don't know a single college football fan who doesn't know what Script Ohio is, and the many of those fans I know are born and raised here in Hawaii and are UH fans. A fan would have to be a really "casual" college football fan is he/she has never seen or heard of Script Ohio. Your average, everyday college football most certainly is familiar with Script Ohio. Few outside of Nebraska know about your "horseshoe" tradition...

I keep clicking on the 19-second mark and repeating the impact, laughing my ass off aloud here at work...people around me are looking at me like, "What...the...fuck".
"keep pressing 6 with 1 second in between"

When I lived in California, everyone I talked football with knew what our Tunnel Walk was. Not sure where our anecdotal situations are getting us in this conversation.

I guess the bigger question we all have to ask ourselves, knowing how much everyone here dislikes ESPN, is the winner the loser and the loser the winner?

Winner has to move on in this dog-and-pony show. Loser gets to bow out of ESPin's little contest.

You could win and lose this thing.

Script Ohio has been named the best college football tradition by many different publications.

Just a second. Don't for a minute think I'm disparaging Script Ohio. I've said before and I meant it - I think it's a damned cool thing, and better than our Tunnel Walk. I want that to be perfectly clear here - there's no disrespect intended at all.

I never even heard of Nebraska's tradition, but I'm sure every Nebraska fan knows about Script Ohio. That should tell you right there which is the better tradition...

...countdown to knappl entering this thread, getting all offended, and claiming that the horseshoe thing (whatever it is) is better than Script Ohio: 3...2...
